Just back from a 10 night stay at The Soco Hotel. Let start with the good bits... Waiting staff are fantastic, nothing to much trouble, friendly, polite and amazing. Bar staff, again fantastic service from Zac, Shane and Michelle, kept the drinks coming and remembered your tipple A good selection of drinks and cocktails...although sometimes ran out of a few bits..but usually replenished next day. Location, right on the sea with a small beach access with loungers and parasols. Right on the end of the boardwalk which is fantastic for a stroll along to other beaches, shops, restaurants and bars. Good location for jumping on a bus to explore other areas. Pool area, ample pool for the size of the hotel, seating areas with sunbeds around the pool...possibly need a few more during busy times. Perfect for a dip to cool off. Food, good selection for lunch and dinner, all well prepared and fresh, afternoon tea also served but personally not required though, seems a waste. 3 course at lunch time may also be a bit much but delicious all the same. Now for the not so good bits: Hotel is a little dated, fixtures and fittings are a bit tired, doors to rooms in a shabby state, lampshades in the room are dirty, furniture used as bedside tables also grubby as was the couch, grouting in the bathroom could do with a good scrub. No lift so be prepared for stairs, which are also narrow. At the start of our stay we were disappointed to day the least, but once having met the staff, other guests and eaten, the positives outweighed the negatives.. but for the cost of this hotel I would expect a little more attention to detail with the rooms etc.

My sister and I stayed at Soco Hotel this August during Crop Over and I must say, I still think about this place to this day! Staying here was literally one of the highlights of my trip and I mean that sincerely. The staff was phenomenal! They truly do operate like a family unit as they said when we checked in. We left there having made new connections, which added to the experience (: And don’t get me started on the food?! WHEW 😍 we ate and ate VERY well. The food was so fresh, so tasty, delectable. Each mealtime has 3 courses, which was also nice. They also have afternoon tea, which I appreciated as a tea girlie. I will say as a sweets/pastry girlie, the desserts were definitely too sweet for me so just be prepared for that. Other than that, everything else was firing on all cylinders. Drinks were flowing as well of course and the bartenders knew how to make a gooooooodddd, strong drink. They don’t play about keeping their whites white (as they should), but were still very accommodating during Crop Over festivities as well and gave us black towels to wash with. Even when we had a whole situation with our bags being delayed, they gave us store suggestions of where we can find things to hold us over. It’s a boutique hotel, so manage your expectations in terms of the room. Although it’s not super luxury, the rooms were nice and clean. The view of the ocean was also so beautiful to wake up to every morning 🥰 it’s also in a walkable location as well – close enough proximity to shopping centers, food, etc. All in all, I highly recommend Soco Hotel! I’d definitely come back for a visit next time I’m in BIM💕

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. You will not find a more joyful bunch of people who are happy to help and bring a smile to your face everyday. With the hotel being so small, they learn your names and orders very quickly, which gives it a personal touch. The rooms are air-conditioned, which was a blessing, and housekeeping is daily. The one downside, no dressing gown or slippers are provided, but not the end of the world. The sea is seconds away and you can catch a van into town very easily. The vans run regularly and it takes about 10-15 minutes at a cost of $3.50BBD per person. All excursions can be booked via the hotel - would recommend the Tiami sunset catamaran - and they even lay on a shuttle every Friday for your must-visit trip to Oistins Fish Fry. Let's not forget the bonus detail, Soco is Adult Only. The perfect place for R&R. I recommend. Thank you EVERYONE for a wonderful stay. Planning my return as I type this. 🙏🏾

Absolutely loved this beachfront hotel! Clean, stylish rooms with stunning ocean views, steps away from the sand. Friendly staff, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. Would definitely return!

We've just returned from our first trip to Barbados and stayed at The SoCo, it was brilliant! The staff are amazing and particular mention must go to Michelle (for being a lovely host and for the fabulous rum tasting 😀) Shane on the bar for keeping us entertained with his music and singing, Zach on the bar, for his lovely smile and cheeky comments, Ayeesh and Shakeela in the Restaurant, always smiling and friendly. We loved that it only had 24 rooms which made getting to know other guests really easy. we met some great characters. The room was a good size, bed really comfortable, lots of storage and great views over the ocean. It would have been handy to have a mirror near a plugsocket in the bedroom area though. The food was great, cooked to order, fresh and hot. Menu changed every 2 or 3 days. Breakfast menu could do with a change of dishes every few days too as became a bit samey. Great location, boardwalk along the sea front up to Rockley Bay. There are a few bars and restaurants along there if you fancied a change of scenery. There's a small beach with sunbeds but you can carry on walking for up the beach and find some lovely spots to put your beach towel. More sunbeds needed around the pool maybe removing some of the casual seating as this wasn't used often. The hotel does need a little TLC in some areas, restaurant needs brightening up, corridors need painting, sunbeds need replacing and maybe a coffee machine in the bar area would be good addition. These are only observations and I hope the owners take note as you've got an absolute gem and we would definitely stay again and totally recommend it to others.
