The island is perfect, like a dream. But the best of all is the people working there! Sham took care of us and provide the best info for every activity we wanted to do, Siva had our beach villa clean and with everything we needed, in the Aqua, Hassan had always an ice cream and a smile for us, Imran was there to offer us a good conversation and whatever was needed. We also requested the services from Sunie (the photographer) and the results were fantastic! His advice make an incredible photo shoot to remember our trip forever. It was so cool to met you! I cannot write all the names, but thanks to them, we are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable!

Just returned from two weeks at this fabulous resort. True Maldivian hospitality. The staff cannot do enough for you. The island is small and intimate but you can almost feel you are the only guests there. We stayed in a beach villa with pool as we love the sand beneath our feet. You can also opt for a water villa if you prefer. There is construction work going on at present, however this did not disturb or detract from the beauty of the island. Would highly recommend this resort.

We have just returned from another fantastic 14 night stay in a Beach Pool Villa at this beautiful and amazing resort. Everything was absolutely perfect from the time we arrived at the new Velana Airport where we were welcomed by resort staff and taken to the Sun Siyam lounge at the seaplane Terminal to wait for our sea plane transfer to Vilu Reef🏝️😀 where we spent such a memorable holiday. Everything was just perfect, the location was beautiful although there is some construction work going on at present this did not spoil any part of our holiday in fact was quite interesting at times seeing what was happening and so looking forward to maybe getting the opportunity to return when everything is finished and up and running 😀 One of the things that make this resort stand out is the Management and staff who just can’t do enough for you , I am not going to mention any individual staff as this would be so unfair to everyone else on the resort. But you know who you are 😊👍. The all inclusive is great with plenty of lovely food catering for all tastes and there are also plenty of drink alcoholic and no alcoholic available at all times. Our experience was absolutely fantastic – we couldn’t fault a single thing. A very big thank you to Habib, our room attendant, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He always cleaned our room to perfection and left everything immaculate, making it such a pleasure to return each day. The food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was consistently delicious, with every meal feeling special thanks to the wonderful chefs Bhavdeep, Ramzee, Poonam, Kiran, Younous, and Chamimda. The bartenders were equally impressive, always accommodating our preferences, with cocktails crafted to perfection – especially those by Nadun and Rashmika. What truly stood out was how welcoming and kind every member of the team was – it genuinely felt like being part of one big family, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our host, Zidh, was incredibly helpful and always responded to our queries promptly. Across the restaurant, bar, water sports, reception, and excursions, the staff were consistently professional, attentive, and kind. A special mention goes to Rajnith at the Nautilus Bar, Shayan at the Aqua Restaurant, as well as Digajan, Dilshan, Sushil, Siriram and Thusara – their friendliness and excellent service made our holiday truly memorable. We would also like to thank the doctor, who was very professional and attended to us straight away, even though he was on his lunch break – his care was greatly appreciated. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough – it has been an unforgettable experience!

Arrival & Departure – Seamless From Start to Finish From the moment you arrive at Malé Airport, the resort takes over everything. Staff are already waiting for you, guiding you to the Sun Siyam lounge, handling all luggage, and arranging your seaplane transfer. Upon arrival at the island, you are greeted warmly, your luggage is taken directly to the villa, and you receive island and villa tour. Throughout the stay, your island host is available via WhatsApp, making communication incredibly easy. The Sun Siyam Vilu Reef app is also extremely helpful — you can check amenities, book lunches and dinners, reserve excursions, and see all daily activities. On the evening before departure, you receive a detailed letter with timing and instructions. If you have an early checkout, breakfast can be delivered to your villa. At departure, staff take care of your luggage again, escort you to the seaplane, and upon reaching Malé a representative meets you, waits with you, and guides you all the way to your next stop (in our case, the Domestic Terminal Lounge). ⸻ Hospitality & Service – Truly Exceptional We have stayed in many places, but the hospitality at Vilu Reef is on another level. Every staff member contributed to making our stay unforgettable. Special thanks to: • Habib – our wonderful villa attendant, attentive and went above & beyond • Sriram – our favorite bartender at Nautilus; friendly, skilled, and always welcoming. • chef Arjit – your “catch of the day” became my favorite dish of the entire trip. • Dilshal – thank you for the fantastic dinner service. • Rita & the entire Aqua team – truly stellar! • And to everyone whose names we unfortunately forgot on the last day — your kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression. Housekeeping visits twice daily, and anything you need is addressed immediately. Villas are spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything required for a perfect stay. ⸻ Food & Dining – A Delicious Surprise Every Day The food at Aqua Buffet exceeded all our expectations. Every meal was fantastic — fresh, varied, and full of flavor. We ate more fish in seven days than we usually do in a month. As grandchildren of fishermen, we know fresh fish — and the reef fish here was better than any tuna or salmon we’ve ever eaten in our lives. Indian and Maldivian dishes quickly became our favorites, something we never expected as we normally prefer Mediterranean cuisine. The chefs truly deliver outstanding quality. During the management cocktail party, we met the Executive Chef, Operations Manager, and Resort Manager and learned about the resort’s history, daily operations, and future plans. ⸻ Activities, Sport & Snorkeling The island offers a great combination of relaxation and activities: • The sports center provides equipment for various activities • Snorkeling gear is included for the entire stay. • The dive center offers scuba diving, excursions, and reef experiences. • All activities, schedules, and bookings can be managed through their easy-to-use app & whatsapp A tip: choose villas facing the lagoon for beautiful view. Reef-side villas face the local island, so the lagoon side feels more calm. ⸻ Construction Work – Nearly Unnoticeable There are ongoing construction works near the sandbank, but they were almost unnoticeable during our stay. The only place where we could see them was Nautilus, where we actually enjoyed watching the impressive speed and efficiency of the building process. Recommendation: visit before the construction is fully finished to take advantage of better prices, extra inclusions, and various discounts. ⸻ Honorable Mentions For everyone whose name we didn’t manage to write down, especially those who were with us during the last days — thank you.
