We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything exceeded our expectations. The island is stunning, the villas are beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is truly world-class. What made our stay even more special was the incredible hospitality of the staff. A special thank you to Adam, our personal assistant, who was always attentive, professional, and ready to help with anything we needed. His warm and caring approach made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. We would also like to express our gratitude to Manoj from housekeeping. His friendly smile, kindness, and dedication to keeping our villa spotless every day did not go unnoticed. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every member of the team contributed to making our honeymoon and birthday celebration unforgettable. We leave with wonderful memories and hope to return again in the future. This review will be updated after my stay, but I wanted to share my concerns regarding the pre-arrival experience. I booked this trip months in advance and still have nearly two months before arrival. While attempting to make a birthday dinner reservation, I was passed between multiple staff members and communication channels before finally being instructed to send an email request. Several days later, I was informed that the restaurant I was trying to reserve would be closed on my birthday. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the restaurant still appeared available for reservations in the app, which is what prompted me to reach out in the first place. This dinner was intended to be the centerpiece of my 40th birthday celebration. Had I been informed earlier that the restaurant would not be operating that evening, I could have planned accordingly. Instead, I only learned this after making repeated efforts to secure a reservation. I am also concerned by the limited dining options available that evening. With one specialty restaurant closed, the remaining choices feel very limited for a luxury resort experience, especially for guests celebrating special occasions. What has disappointed me most is not necessarily the closure itself, but the lack of proactive communication and empathy surrounding the situation. For a resort at this price point, I expected a smoother reservation process and a greater effort to assist guests celebrating important milestones. I remain hopeful that the resort can provide alternative recommendations or arrangements and that my actual stay will exceed expectations. However, my experience leading up to arrival has unfortunately diminished some of the excitement I had for this trip.

We stayed 5 nights at Iru Veli and we had a blast. For us, the most important thing was the underwater life and after visited many resorts in the last 10 years, (thanks to my job in the travel industry), I have to say this resort has the best and most lively house reef I have ever seen. But thats not all. The staff were super friendly and really took care (lots of them greeted me on my name from the first day), and they took my wife's gluten intolerance with great care. We had a Beach Villa with pool, which was already a great experience, but they just told me this summer all the villas are undergo a refurbishment/design change, and with the new design, they will look even better and fresher! They have so many experiences, programs, that in 5 days, we just could not tried everything. They have sunset dolphin cruise, whale shark and manta discovery, treasure hunt (you could even find yourself a room upgrade!), watersport activities, cooking class, sealed with love - lock hanging, coconut oil making, tea afternoon with a wise local traditional pharmacist/herbalist, etc....but the best and most romantic experience was the "Sunset Aisle", where they took us in a private speedboat to a small sandbank in the sunset with a bottle of champagne and with canapés and left us there for an hour alone. It was unexpectedly beautiful and romantic...thank you so much! Have to mention our spa expericen with 2 two balinese lady, which were exceptional, only problem was that it was only 60 minutes...:) They are real professionals. I would like to say special thank you for the following people there: - Chef Irvan (possibly mispelled his name, sorry!) at the teppanyaki station, since he is not only funny, but super kind and a really talented chef aswell! Made my wife's first teppanyaki experience unforgettable - to Zayaan, he is such a great storyteller and told us his life experiences - to Chef Darma, he was super kind to us every day when we met, always asked about our experiences, and took a special care about my wife wishes and needs. He even asked a day before our departure what we would like to have for our last breakfast there. We asked for a pizza, and he made that only for us! :) - and last but not least our amazing Butler, Sharyaan, who made our stay unforgettable and always found us everywhere easily on the island without asking and fullfilled our every wishes! He was superkind aswell! And hats of for the sales/marketing team aswell with Miss Swati and Mr Shahum for organizing everything so smoothly, we felt every day they took a great care of us aswell! Thank you so much, miss you already!

We spent our honeymoon at Iru Veli Resort and everything was absolutely perfect. The resort is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the service is outstanding. A very special thank you to Hadeel, who was extremely kind, attentive, and always available whenever we needed anything. She looked after us wonderfully from the moment we arrived and made sure every part of our stay was smooth, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. Her warmth and professionalism made a real difference to our experience. We are also very grateful to Manoj, who ensured our room was perfectly cleaned twice a day and maintained to the highest standard. From start to finish, every detail was flawless. We had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a dream holiday in the Maldives.

A bucket list trip which didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived by seaplane we received a warm friendly greeting by the Sun Siyam Iru Veli team. Our Ambassador Sharyaan then introduced himself and continued to look after us through the 10 days of our stay. We received a WhatsApp from him every morning letting us know what activities were happening that day and Sharyann was always on hand to arrange these for us and to book a table for the A La Carte restaurants on the Island. He looked after us superbly throughout our stay, no matter what we needed or questions we had, nothing was too much trouble. The Island was truly a beautiful paradise, proper pinch yourself moments every day. All the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and efficient, couldn't do enough for you but not in an over the top way. The only downside of the trip was that our stay was 9 nights, we should have booked at least 14! Difficult to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay, it is going to take something very special to beat this - we will definitely return!
