I recently stayed at the Sofitel in Krabi, Thailand, with my family and while the hotel itself is beautiful, what truly made my experience unforgettable was the outstanding service from everyone, but with a especially from Jimmy, at the Maya breakfast restaurant. Jinny is an absolute gem. Every morning she greeted us with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and kindness that went far beyond standard hospitality. She remembered our preferences, anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Her professionalism combined with her natural ability to connect with guests created a level of service that stood out throughout our entire stay. It’s rare to meet someone who embodies such exceptional customer relationship skills, and Jinny does it effortlessly. Her talent, dedication, and remarkable way of making guests feel valued would be an asset in any leadership or guest‑facing role, even more so as her level of English is much better than most of the remaining employers.

The guest had an exceptional and memorable stay at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra, marked by outstanding service, attention to detail, and warm hospitality across all departments. The experience began even before arrival, with proactive and personalised communication from the reservation, Club Millésime, and front office teams, setting high expectations that were fully met. The newly renovated Signature Rooms stood out for their elegant design and refined colonial luxury. Airport transfers were seamless, comfortable, and thoughtfully handled, reflecting Sofitel’s high standards of service and care. The newly renovated Kids Club was a major highlight, impressing both children and parents with its engaging design and activities, despite the removal of nanny services for safety reasons. Facilities such as the gym, pool, and daily activities were excellent, with special mention of the foam party and aqua aerobics. Dining across all four restaurants was consistently impressive in terms of food quality, presentation, and service. SO SPA with L’Occitane provided a deeply relaxing and professional experience, with knowledgeable therapists and heartfelt service gestures that left a lasting impression. The Concierge team received exceptional praise for their personalised, sincere, and safety-focused service, especially in arranging tours and creating unforgettable family memories. Front Office, drivers, bellmen, and various team members were commended for their warmth, professionalism, and efficiency. Senior leadership and management were recognised for strong leadership, swift problem resolution, genuine care, and the ability to create meaningful, emotional experiences—particularly a surprise birthday celebration that deeply touched the family. Overall, the guest described the hospitality as surpassing even top-tier luxury brands, expressing strong appreciation for the hotel’s leadership, service culture, and commitment to excellence, and confirmed their intention to return.

We had the most wonderful time at this hotel. It started with our wonderful welcome from Apple who is an absolute asset to your hotel. She is friendly, kind and so helpful. We also had a wonderful service from the lovely Gabbie who was also friendly, kind and always willing to help. The hotel was perfect from start to finish with every single staff member we encountered wanting to make our stay special. I emailed the hotel a month before we arrive as my husband was celebrating a special birthday and they made a lovely gesture in our room for him which was so lovely. We had a wonderful trip with the hotel to Hong Island and our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, I’m just gutted I cannot remember his name as I also wanted to give him a special mention. Overall our stay was wonderful and I would 100% recommend Sofitel Krabi. Thank you again to Apple and Gabbie who made our stay extra special ❤️ they are true assets to your hotel!

5/5 Stars for the Hotel – 2/5 Stars for the Club Lounge I had a mixed experience, but overall the hotel itself is fantastic. Here are the highlights: 1. Staff: Super friendly and attentive staff across the board, from reception to housekeeping. 2. Facilities: The entire property is very well-maintained. 3. Rooms: Extremely clean and comfortable. 4. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is wonderful—great variety, high quality, and plenty of options. 5. Pool: A dream! The pool is huge, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Location: The hotel is located a bit further out, but there are several restaurants and beach bars within walking distance that are definitely worth a visit. However, if you want to go to Ao Nang or Krabi Town, you will need to rely on Grab or Bolt. The Downside: Club Millésime Lounge In my opinion, the value for money regarding the Club Millésime access is not right. Compared to Club Lounges in other hotels of the same category, this one doesn't quite measure up. The food selection is very limited. Furthermore, access for afternoon tea and evening cocktails is restricted to only 2 hours each. I personally don’t think the surcharge is worth it. Additionally, the location of the lounge within the hotel isn’t very appealing; it would be much nicer to have a view of the pool or the outdoors. Summary: The hotel is great and I highly recommend it, but I would suggest skipping the Club Millésime upgrade.

The Byron Family

We had a pleasant but mixed stay. The staff were genuinely excellent and the location is very good, which made the experience enjoyable overall. However, for what you pay, you do expect more in return. The golf course is more of a chip-and-putt setup rather than the advertised championship-style course. Many additional activities — including kids club, pool activities, golf and tennis — were very expensive, which quickly added up. The rooms are ageing and lack basic expectations for an international hotel, such as international power points. Overall, great staff in a good location, but the value didn’t quite stack up for us. Probably wouldn’t return unless rooms are updated and pricing reconsidered.
