My partner and I just returned from a 7-night stay at the secrets hotel. We were so impressed as soon as we walked through the door. Staff are very kind and attentive and will always be ready to help you. The hotel itself is wonderful. We had a pool facing room which was lovely and we could see the sea too. Rooms were cleaned everyday and to an exceptional standard. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning which was always the same but to a good quality. The pools are quite cold but refreshing after sitting in the hot sun. There are plenty of sun beds so nothing to worry about. We often walked to Puerto calero for dinners, there are some great restaurants there and markets on Tuesdays and Fridays. We also enjoyed the entertainment on the evenings, there was lots of variety over the 7 nights. Only thing to mention is that there a lot of cats in the local area that also make their way into the outside areas of the hotel; particularly at night when it is cooler. They seem friendly but we kept our distance, just something to note if you’re not keen on cats! Overall I would definitely return, our first time visiting Lanzarote was made so special, thank you secrets hotel!

As soon as you arrive, you're greeted by smiles from the reception staff, particularly Veronica. The Guest Experience Team are phenomenal, especially Carla who seems to be omnipresent 😂😍. If there are any issues, Carla and the rest of the team and staff will do their best to help. It was our third visit at the end of April 2026 and we are already booked to return later this year. There was some work going on to the grill restaurant, but it didn't impact our holiday greatly, as most of the noisy work was finished. Rooms are fabulous, shower superb, sunbeds are cushioned unlike some hotels and the food selection is very good. We love the fact that you don't have to book sunbeds or restaurants, it makes for a much more relaxing holiday! Never a problem finding a sunbed! Well done Secrets Lanzarote 👏⭐👏⭐

Firstly, there is no beach, don't believe what they say on expedia. We stayed here for 5 nights as a mini break. Service and hospitality was good but not wow. As it just outside of the main season it was very quiet & some of the restaurants/area of hotel were undergoing renovations/maintenance. We were supposed to be here all inclusive but due to a problem with Expedia, ended up with B&B. And honestly I'm glad. The food here especially in the buffet was average at best and very repetitive. I've had better food at lower price points. The speciality restaurant food was nicer but certainly not worth the up charge. We went to the local marina and found nicer food at decent prices. We stayed in the A block on the 8th floor. Warning to anyone, because its above the main atrium, it is very noisey in the evenings and more so when the entertainment is performing (which is ever night). Then there is also the loud clean up of that area, which seems to never end, with tables and chairs being dragged on tiles floor. The room was great, the only thing is expect to see ants, even in the bed.

PART 1 Secrets Lanzarote has beautiful facilities, clean rooms, good food, and many hardworking employees. However, despite paying luxury-resort prices, the overall experience often felt like standard service levels within luxury accommodations. I want to begin with the positives. The front desk team was welcoming and patient during check-in. Our swim-up room was beautiful, clean, and one of the highlights of the trip. The Preferred Club snack area was genuinely useful, especially when I missed breakfast, and the food quality throughout the resort was consistently good. I also want to specifically recognize the employee who assisted us with our luggage upon arrival. There was no greeter or bellhop available when we arrived, and one employee appeared responsible for assisting multiple guests with large amounts of luggage. She handled our heavy bags professionally, worked incredibly hard, and deserves recognition for her efforts. My primary concern was not a lack of effort from staff. In fact, many employees appeared to be working extremely hard. The issue was that the resort frequently felt understaffed, resulting in inconsistent service, long waits, conflicting information, and confusion regarding procedures and benefits. One recurring issue was the Preferred Club experience. While I appreciated certain amenities, it did not feel particularly exclusive. Had my preferred beverage not been included, I likely would not have paid for the upgrade at all. The wine and liquor selection available through the all-inclusive package was also more limited than expected given the resort’s price point. More importantly, there was frequent confusion regarding what Preferred Club actually included. Information often changed depending on which employee we spoke with. This was not simply a guest misunderstanding. For example, during our stay we were specifically instructed that both room cards needed to be presented because using only one card was allegedly causing issues. We were told this by multiple employees, including Liliana, who explained that both cards should be used moving forward to avoid further problems. However, later that same evening, after we had discussed the issue with her directly, Liliana processed our dinner reservation using only one card herself. While this may seem like a small detail, it perfectly illustrates the broader issue we encountered throughout the stay. Guests were expected to follow procedures that were not being applied consistently by staff. This confusion appears to be a recurring concern among guests. Three months ago, James BT wrote: “We found the Preferred Club offering very confusing, even though it was explained to us at check-in, and we were never quite sure what was included and what wasn’t.” I completely agree. Throughout our stay, there were repeated discrepancies regarding pricing, procedures, benefits, and guest instructions depending on which employee was working. Guests should not feel responsible for understanding a system that appears inconsistently communicated internally

I stayed at this lovely hotel in Lanzarote in December and had a fantastic experience overall. The hotel is beautifully located close to the sea, which really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The room was excellent, spotlessly clean, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. The evening entertainment was great throughout our stay, and the food and drink were excellent, with plenty of choice and always flowing. Best of all, there’s no screaming children as it’s an adult only hotel, which is perfect for me. My only criticism would be the acoustics. Unfortunately, the sound insulation isn’t very good, so you can clearly hear timber doors in the corridors slamming shut and noise from guests staying in rooms above walking around etc. Aside from this issue, it was an amazing stay and a hotel I would happily return to. Although, I would try to get a room on the top floor to avoid the acoustics issues.
