Finolhu was the perfect destination for our wedding anniversary. It balances luxury and refinement with relaxation, not being too fussy and allowing you to indulge in whatever mood takes you. The island is pristine - the clearest water and beautiful facilities all extremely well maintained. The variety and quality of food is sensational and we particularly liked the Crab Shack and the Japanese restaurant. A few surprises were the butler service, ready always to pick us up from our room and take us anywhere on the island. We also didnt realise how accessible the snorkelling would be - straight out from the over-water villas and the current gently drifts you back along the drop-off, to the island. Over seven nights we had plenty to do including day trips to see the Manta Rays, jet skiing with dolphins and exploring the island facilities. We went for the premium all-inclusive package and were always so full that we barely touched the mini-bar (which is also included). Finally, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They go the extra mile to ensure you are well looked after and take a huge amount of pride in their work. Look forward to our next trip and although it was an indulgence, the memories are priceless.

An absolutely outstanding stay at Finolhu Maldives from start to finish. Everything was truly exceptional and exceeded expectations in every way. As with all resorts in the Maldives, it is expensive — but in this case, the money is genuinely well spent. The island is stunning, beautifully designed, and perfectly maintained, striking a perfect balance between luxury and relaxed island vibes. The villas are spacious, stylish, and immaculately clean, with incredible attention to detail. The service deserves special mention: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring without ever feeling intrusive. The food was excellent across all restaurants, with great variety and consistently high quality. The only minor drawbacks are that the nearby coral reef is not as impressive as at some other Maldivian resorts, and the activities are on the expensive side. That said, these points do little to detract from an otherwise exceptional experience. Overall, Finolhu delivers a memorable and high-end Maldivian escape, and it’s easy to see why so many guests return.

Finolhu Resort in the Maldives is absolutely exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. The seaplane ride to the island was a fun experience as it was our first time experiencing the seaplane, from the moment we landed, the service was warm, attentive, and truly world-class, the clear blue water and the natural white sand made for breath taking views. Our villa was absolutely incredible, we were taken back by the large size of the villa and watched the best sunsets from our villa pool or just laying on the deck lounges. The food was outstanding, the team really push the boundaries to keep improving the quality and the produce was so fresh, we chose the island because of its various activities, natural sand and clear waters and the number of restaunts it had, it has 4 restaurants which made for great unique experiences at each one and provided variety, each restaurant was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The incredible staff - were do we start, nothing was ever too much trouble, and they constantly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We loved our buggy rides with Hanim, our wonderful butler, who made everything so seamless. At the restaurants, the team was equally outstanding. Upul always had fascinating stories and fantastic food and drink recommendations, while Ali, Abulho, and Nimal greeted us each morning with such kindness and attention. Muhyi the perfect omelettes and pastas and Lahiru the most delicious crepes and waffles! Moustafa at The Beach Bar mixed the best cocktails and always took time to chat, making every visit a pleasure. We’re also grateful to Dumi and all the other staff whose hospitality made us feel so welcome. We also loved the variety of sports and activities on offer — especially the golf simulator and beach tennis with Ashan, who made each game so much fun. There are several snorkeling and diving experiences on offer also. Finolhu is truly a paradise — stunning views, fresh and delicious food, and an incredible team that makes every moment memorable. The staff really made this place amazing for us just as much as the picturesque scenery, we can't wait to visit again sometime in the future, keep pushing the boundaries team, you're doing a fantastic job. This was a truly one of the most beautiful, relaxing vacations I have been on. From the moment you step off the sea plane onto the doc, you feel taken care of. You are greeted by staff and taken by your butler via golf cart to your villa. The villa was clean and stocked. Fresh and sparkling water replenished daily. Your butler is available to arrange excursions, reservations, spa treatments and rides to and from wherever you are going on the island. Prior to traveling, resort staff will gladly email you prices of different meal plans so you can pick what makes sense for you and your budget. The gym is in excellent condition and overlooks the ocean. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the different offerings are rotated. We tried new things each day and enjoyed them all. Don’t miss the white party at the Crab Shack! All the restaurants were well above average. Kanusan and Crab Shack were our personal favorites. The beaches and clear water are great for snorkeling. We always felt safe everywhere on the island. Above all, the warmness and hospitality of the staff stand out superiorly. Saju, our butler was on top of everything. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, keeping us up to date if events changed due to weather and making suggestions to enhance our experience. We had a massage on a rainy day that was wonderful and relaxing. Perfect after a long journey. We looked forward to seeing all of our new friends (staff) each day a different meals and events. Umars, Sunny, Tamilla were so welcoming and friendly. Ali and Abulho were always welcoming at breakfast and Upol made all our dinner experiences amazing. I highly recommend ordering the French toast made by Luhira at breakfast. It was delicious. Ashfaan, Rikki and Deny at the club bar made the best drinks and snacks!

Absolutely unforgettable – pure paradise Finolhu Maldives is quite simply one of the most incredible places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment you arrive, everything feels effortless, joyful and genuinely special. The island itself is breathtaking — powder-soft white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water and beautifully designed villas that feel both luxurious and relaxed. Every detail has been thought through, from the privacy and comfort of the villas to the playful, stylish touches across the island that make Finolhu feel unique rather than formal. We stayed over Christmas, and the festive atmosphere was truly magical. The Christmas lights switch-on was such a special moment — beautifully done and full of warmth, excitement and sparkle. It really made the whole stay feel extra memorable. The service deserves special mention. The staff are exceptional: warm, intuitive and always going above and beyond without ever feeling intrusive. A huge thank you to Ahmed, our butler, who was simply wonderful — attentive, kind and made our stay feel completely seamless from start to finish. Finolhu was also brilliant with our son, Beau. The kids club is fantastic, and even though he wasn’t quite old enough to stay on his own yet, the team went out of their way to make him feel included and welcome, which meant so much to us as a family. Food and drink were outstanding throughout our stay, with great variety and consistently high quality. One absolute highlight was taking the boat trip over to the Crab Shack on the island — we went a few times, and they ended up being our best nights. The atmosphere, food, setting and sunset vibes were unbeatable and something we’ll always remember. Even on days when the weather didn’t fully cooperate and we had some rain, the resort truly shone. Finolhu put on complimentary activities to keep guests entertained, which made such a difference and turned what could have been disappointing days into really fun ones. One small tip for future guests would be to keep an eye on wine selections, as some bottles are not included — we were caught out with a $300 charge for a bottle we had assumed was part of the all-inclusive package. Aside from that, dining was a real highlight. What really sets Finolhu apart is the balance it strikes — luxurious without being stuffy, lively without being overwhelming, and family-friendly while still feeling special and indulgent. Whether you’re travelling as a couple or with children, it works beautifully. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. We came away relaxed, happy and already dreaming of returning. Finolhu isn’t just a holiday — it’s an experience we’ll never forget. ✨ Truly paradise. Highly recommended. ✨
