The rooms are quite small, no balcony and it felt very claustrophobic, only one small window which holds the AC unit outside. We didn't get hand towels at all. The shower door doen't close all the way, so it makes the entire bathroom floor wet. The temperature of the shower keeps changing during the shower from warm to freezing cold to then boiling hot in the space of a few seconds. There is also mould stains all throughout the bathroom, specifically in the shower on the tiles all the way round. We only received 1 key to the room so it gets warmer the longer you stay out including items in the fridge. The pool isn't as inviting as seems in the pictures online and on the first day we could go in, but on the second day, the pool was not allowed to swim in due to a green/yellow colour of the water. There are constantly mosquitoes entering the room even tho the door and window are closed, and you can here everything happening in the hallway and other rooms. We then complained to the reception about our issues and we then talked with the manager and she said she might be able to move us to an upgraded room. Then she got back to us and said it is all booked out and gave us a solution to go to the pool in another hotel for the day. We asked to move to another room due to the shower situation, they offered us two other rooms that had the exact same issue with the shower door. (And which were in another floor without elevator access). The good things are that the breakfast is quite nice, the lobby is great as well as the location. It's not too noisy and the staff are kind and attentive. In conclusion, I would rate the experience 4 out of 10 but after we complained, they made a real effort to try and change our experience from a bad one to a good one and even paid for our taxi to our next hotel which was a very kind gesture.

From the moment we arrived, Ms. Neung took great care of us and helped us choose the right room. Her kindness and willingness to help were excellent. The hotel is a little further from the centre, but otherwise it is absolutely perfect. It is close to the beach, has a large swimming pool, fast Wi-Fi, and beautiful rooms.

This is our second time staying at the Verticolor. The hotel is great value for money and located a short walk to Central Samui. The facilities are clean, there’s a large pool with plenty of sun beds, gym and lots of parking. The staff - front desk, housekeeping are all friendly and very welcoming. We look forward to staying here again

Can only assume that VertiColor had themselves a nice turnaround; I've noticed that a lot of the bad reviews are from at least 4 months ago - most from a year+ ago. Our experience definitely wasn't like any of the bad reviews, extremely friendly staff, greeted every time we entered / exited without fail. Easy + quick check-in, room nicely modern, flawless upon arrival + cleaned daily. Not great, but a decent little gym, pool was clean + chemicals clearly regulated safely (I mention this specifically as we've had hotel pools in the past where they'll just dump chemicals in, had an occasion where it had my eye in pain for days, so it's important to me now lol). We didn't have any of the food but the smoothies at the pool bar were great + reasonably priced, plenty of parking for bikes / cars. Also in contrast to the 'money grab' reviews, we had no problems checking out, no pressure to buy anything / upgrade etc, we asked about booking a taxi through them to go to the airport early the next day, and they actually told us just to get a grab as it would be cheaper haha, quite literally the opposite of a money grab. Location is great, and they have quite a lot of land so its nicely out of the way of the main streets. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom all the staff is very friendly The included breakfast is great,you have a lot of choice and can get freshly cooked eggs Unfortunately the room cleaning was just changing towels,making the bed and give new water. Still dirt in the room. Would recommend 👍
