I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a great mix of local and international dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and I truly appreciated being offered a complimentary late check-out. The large pool area was beautiful and perfect for relaxing. I also valued the two free bottles of water provided every day. Overall, a fantastic experience.

We had a great stay! The breakfast was delicious and served right by the pool, which made every morning feel special. The pool is large and has an amazing view of the sea. The staff were very kind and provided great service throughout our stay. Overall, it was excellent value for money. Highly recommended! Only 20 min walk to fisherman village

If you’re in Koh Samui, this is one of the most comfortable places to stay. 10/10 for real. The beach is right in front, so mornings feel peaceful, and it’s close to Fisherman’s Village with plenty of great cafés and bars. A 7/11 and pharmacy nearby also make everything easier. My friend and I planned to stay one night and ended up extending because we genuinely loved the place. The rooms are clean and modern with beautiful sunrise views. There’s a gym, a pool table, a nice pool area, and the hospitality felt warm throughout. The breakfast buffet had a good range of options, and overall the stay felt like great value for money. I’d definitely come back.

After staying at this Ibis hotel, I have to say that the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel feels worn down and clearly past its better days. It looks tired, and maintenance seems to have been neglected for quite some time. One of the biggest issues is the mismatch between the number of rooms and the size of the pool. For a hotel of this scale, the pool is far too small, making it crowded and not very enjoyable, especially during peak hours. The rooms themselves are small and felt constantly damp and humid, which made them uncomfortable to stay in. Even with air conditioning, the moisture in the room was noticeable and unpleasant. Another negative aspect is the atmosphere in the hallways and common corridors. They feel dark, narrow, and poorly maintained, giving off an almost prison-like vibe rather than the welcoming feeling you would expect from a hotel. This further adds to the overall impression of a property that lacks warmth and proper upkeep. Communication with the staff was also a challenge. Their level of English is very poor, and it was by far the worst we encountered during our three weeks of traveling around Thailand. Simple requests or questions often led to confusion, which added unnecessary frustration to the stay. Breakfast was another weak point. The selection was below standard for an international hotel chain, and the cleanliness in the restaurant was poor. There was visible dirt on the floor in several areas, which gave an unhygienic impression and made the dining experience less appealing. Lastly, the hotel’s location is not ideal. It is far from Fisherman’s Village, which means you are not within easy walking distance of one of the area’s main attractions, restaurants, and shops. This makes getting around less convenient unless you rely on taxis or scooters. Overall, this hotel did not live up to expectations, especially considering the Ibis brand. There are likely better options in the area offering better comfort, cleanliness, and service.

My wife and two daughters stayed at the ibis for five nights in August. The breakfasts were some of the best we had on our month in Thailand and the evening live music and fire shows were a huge hit. The rooms are a little on the small side but definitely great for the price that you pay. We stayed in the family adjoining room and it was definitely appreciated over all the previous bunk bed suites on our trip. The staff were all extremely friendly and the landscaping was amazing. Our family definitely appreciated the labeled species of plants and trees. Just be careful on the stepping stones in the main area ... I don't think they are spaced for tall people 😂. Most of ours time was spent at the pool or walking to fisherman's village. But definitely take the road, not the beach... Very difficult to walk in the sand. The walk to fisherman's village is totally doable in about 15 minutes and definitely go if the night market is happening. Similar hotels in the area cost more than 10 times the amount for similar amenities... Don't wait to book as they fill up fast! Thanks for a great stay. We hope to return soon!
