Paradox Hotel is a paradox. We had read that it’s a smaller hotel chain positioning itself as a boutique lifestyle experience — and in many ways that’s absolutely true. The hospitality, the welcome, the personality, and the location in Singapore are all excellent. We booked an Executive Club room and forgot to mention my wife’s food intolerances. The team handled it perfectly from the very first evening, and the gluten-free options at afternoon tea were outstanding. But the entire executive feeling disappeared at breakfast. We were directed to a windowless room and then had to collect food in a massive buffet hall that felt more like a large charter resort or a Las Vegas hotel than a boutique property. It was crowded, chaotic, and almost competitive just to reach the dishes. Everything fantastic we had read beforehand was unfortunately overshadowed by the breakfast experience. WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR! Would I stay here again? Yes, most likely — thanks to the genuinely accommodating spirit of the team. If the breakfast mayhem isn’t sorted out by then, there’s always a Starbucks around the corner.

A returning guest after 2 years. Location is great, we love Clarke Quay. Very disappointed this year with this hotel. Firstly my family was downgraded when checked in, when told we had been upgraded. We had to step over a bathtub to get into the shower, the windows were dirty, the room was a lot smaller and curtains were old and not managed well. The photo didn’t look like the premium room we had initially booked for. My mum went to make a complaint after being told that this was an “ upgrade” The other issue was the lifts. We were left waiting for a good 5-6 mins on our floor each day, just to get down to the lobby as they were doing maintenance at the busiest hours of the day. 4 lifts with 2 out of order. With the amount of people waiting to get in from each floor right and those waiting in the lobby just to get to their rooms was hectic. It was CHAOS! This will be our last visit to Paradox unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend .

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out. The Staff: Everyone was incredibly welcoming, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Breakfast: The morning spread was delicious with a huge variety of fresh options. It was the perfect way to start our day. Cleanliness: The housekeeping team does an amazing job. Our room was spotless and refreshed perfectly every single day. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning in the future!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, and we would especially like to commend Rajesh, the concierge, for his exceptional hospitality. From the moment we interacted with him, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness truly stood out. What impressed us most was his extensive knowledge about watches. I was interested in purchasing one but wasn’t quite sure what to choose. Rajesh patiently guided me, recommended a few reputable shops, and gave thoughtful advice on what style and type would suit me best. His recommendations were spot-on — I ended up purchasing the watch he suggested, and it is absolutely beautiful!

Overall experience is good but definitely can be better. We booked Pawcation Retreat and the hotel consider as new player for pet friendly hotel. Package includes high tea and happy hour. For high tea, we can have it outdoor at Ellenbourough market cafe. However, we were told by check in staff not for happy hour as the cafe is not pet friendly. Instead we were told we can just sit at the lobby area with the dogs in the stroller. Not sure if there as miscommunication between the staffs. However, when we come down the lobby area is full and no place to sit at all. After some talking with the staffs, we are allowed to eat at the outdoor area same as high tea. I think if the pawcation retreat package offers all this benefits, hotel should give more options such as for example we can choose to have it in our room or outdoor area where we can dine with our dogs. Luckily our experiences saved by the quick action of Izad and also hospitality of Jia Bao. One thing that I NEED to mentioned though is the lack of staff during breakfast hours. No one paying attention to people dining outside. I need to ask 3 times to 3 different staffs just to get cutleries and ice. Overall is a good experience but not sure we will be back.
