I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The air conditioning was not working properly—it cooled extremely slowly and didn’t even reach the bed area, making the stay quite uncomfortable. Even after multiple complaints, the staff did not respond or take any meaningful action to fix the issue. The room lighting was also poor, with only three small lights, which made it very difficult to see at night. We had to rely on our phone flashlights just to pack and find things. Additionally, the charging switches were faulty—especially for Indian chargers, which didn’t fit securely and kept slipping out. The bathroom was another letdown. It was quite small, with no separate controls for hot and cold water, making it inconvenient to use. The shower was old and rusty, adding to the overall poor experience. Considering the price we paid, this hotel is definitely not worth it. There are far better options available at similar or even lower prices. I would not recommend booking this hotel based on positive reviews alone—our experience was far from satisfactory.

I stayed at Chada for 5 days and my overall experience is positive. I have the room with pool access and partial mountain view and it was stunning. However, the hotel is has old charm, meaning that its not on par with modern interior. Its decorated with antique chinese influence furniture and doorware. If you are into this vibe, then you will appreciate the room because I loved it. The staff were wonderful and friendly. They do try to help you as much as they can, although I would consider the service as slow. The breakfast variety is not the greatest but they taste good. The location is so convenient. It is further away from Ao Nang beach (20mins down the road) but that means that the hotel is quieter, but still within close distance to 7-11, great eateries and massage spas.

Our room has seen better days. We did have a nice view from the bedroom but they desperately need to renovate. The AC was old and smelled funny, mini bar probably has been there since the resort opened and the shower situation was kinda gross. At least the breakfast was decent enough.

stayed at this resort for two nights, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I arrived around 12 p.m. and requested an early check-in (my check-in time was 2 p.m.), but the staff said it wasn’t possible as my room wasn’t ready. I waited in the pool area and library, both of which had no air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable in the heat. What made it more frustrating was seeing other guests being given rooms during this time. Eventually, I was given my room around 1:30 p.m. At check-in, I was also asked to provide a $100 USD cash deposit. Given the overall experience that followed, it honestly felt like they should have been compensating me rather than the other way around. The room itself was disappointing. I had booked a sea view room, but it was more of a mountain view with only a tiny glimpse of the sea. The room was also quite small. The issues didn’t stop there. The lighting in the room was extremely poor—there were only three lights (two bedside lamps and one small dressing table lamp), and two of them weren’t working. I had to call maintenance to fix them. Later, I discovered there was no hot water in the shower or sinks. A technician came around 9 p.m. and took nearly two hours to fix it, during which the bathroom was flooded and unusable, and I had no privacy or ability to relax. The next morning, I woke up to find the air conditioner leaking water everywhere. It had dripped onto the table, soaking my watch, wallet, and other belongings, with a puddle forming underneath. Maintenance had to come again and dismantle part of the AC to remove built-up ice. Other inconveniences included an empty minibar and no room service menu in the room. When I asked for one, I was told to take a photo because they didn’t have enough menus to provide copies. Communication with staff was also difficult, as the reception team had limited English skills. To make matters worse, when I arrived, my ferry shuttle dropped me on the main road below the hotel. The property is located uphill, and when I called the hotel for assistance with my luggage (a standard service at most 4- or 5-star properties), I was told no one was available and that I would have to carry my bags up myself in the midday heat. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. Between the lack of basic amenities, repeated maintenance issues, poor service, and difficult communication, the experience was far below expectations. I would not stay here again and would strongly recommend others avoid this property.

Worst hotel experience ever. The service was extremely disappointing, and the staff were far too rude and unprofessional to be working in the hospitality industry. We even found an insect in our food, and instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, the staff showed no concern at all. The breakfast buffet was unhygienic, with flies all over the food area. Completely unacceptable standards for any hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
