I'm not going to gatekeep on the Intercontinental Times Square hotel. Of course it's in a great location, the corner room was incredible and the bath products were amazing. The hotel was impeccable. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and this hotel didn't have a single trash can out of place and housekeeping kept us in towel heaven during our entire Christmas stay. It's was a beatitiful time of year to visit the city but the hotel took it up a notch with its beautiful decorations. It really felt like a magical wonderland. ✨️ But, what made our stay so fabulous was actually none of those great hotel characteristics. It was the entire staff. From Santi, the charismatic and friendly doorman, who was do gracious from the moment we arrived, and even knew our driver, to Carolyn, at guest services . I cant say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of this staff. It happened to rain and snow a bit, so our housekeeper gave us umbrellas to use during our stay. We were overwhelmed with the attention to detail at this hotel. John the manager has really retained the best staff and made our trip feel like home away from home. I travel a bit but I've never experienced this level of service from a hotel. This staff actually like their jobs and it shows. It's interesting that many have been with the hotel for long periods of time. Anyway, it's now my 'go to place to stay' while in NYC.

We loved the location, all staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was fabulous. We loved the view towards Times Square, and we could also see our cruise ship waiting for us at the port on the morning of our departure, which was fun. We ordered breakfast via room service three times, putting our f&b credits to good use, and the service and the food were amazing. My husband’s IHG status was acknowledged, and the upgraded room was beautiful and comfortable. Yes, there will be the noise of sirens and so forth because of its location, and we did think that the television could be moved to a wall rather than sitting in front of the window at the foot of the bed, since it blocked the view in the corner room, but these things are small things compared to the joy we experienced staying at this lovely hotel. We have booked to stay again in April, this time after our cruise, and we can’t wait!

EXCELLENT STAY! We were two couples from New Orleans, on our first trip to New York. It was a short 3-day trip, but we enjoyed it very much. We loved the hotel, all the services offered, our wives loved the Christmas tree and the children singing Christmas carols at the entrance. We felt very special at the Stinger Bar; our waives love the French 75 cocktail, and it was delicious. The waiter who served us for all three days was Eddie, who made us feel special and recommended the best tourist spots in the city. Thank you very much to everyone. We will definitely come back.

It's a great location for tourists, the rate is quite high for what the hotel offers. Fitness center is a great size and I was more impressed by the fitness center than the lobby. I expected more Christmas decor than just the tree. Beds are comfortable, pillows are not. Front desk, Francisco is fantastic and treats you like a premium guest. Breakfast is mid for a buffet that costs $30. Even my niece and nephew couldn't eat their pancakes. The bellmen are always smiling and so helpful and sweet. The customer service is better than the rooms tbh

Recently stayed here and it was a huge mistake. I paid over $1,000 for two nights for what should have been a $250-per-night hotel at best. This property does not meet the standard of a $500+ per night stay. First, the location is directly across the street from a marijuana dispensary. The entire area reeks of weed, and unfortunately so did the hotel. Our room smelled like marijuana constantly—day and night. We also ate at the hotel restaurant the first night, and the restaurant smelled the same. Speaking of the restaurant: dinner for two (one steak with vegetables and fries, one club sandwich with fries, and two glasses of wine) came out to over $260. The pricing was absurd for the quality and experience. The room did not feel premium in any way. The shower head was missing silicone tips, resulting in an uneven, weak stream instead of the rain-style shower advertised. The window tint was peeling, allowing clear visibility from the street directly into the bathroom. Let's not even mention the duck take all around the window, seen on the picture. Additionally, the bathroom had no heat and was freezing cold—completely unacceptable for New York in December. Stepping out of a warm shower into icy air was horrible. The bed was nothing special, and the pillows were terrible. I barely slept the first night and had to request firmer pillows for the second. Overall, this stay was grossly overpriced, uncomfortable, and disappointing. I will never stay here again. Frankly, this experience warrants a full refund. Next time, I’ll stay at the Hilton Times Square around the corner instead.
