We stayed at the InterContinental New York after booking through Chase Travel, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our booking included a complimentary drink voucher (up to $22 per person) and a $100 hotel credit, which added great value to our stay. The hotel’s location is fantastic—especially if you love Broadway musicals. Times Square and many theaters are just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and we had a restful night’s sleep. We also enjoyed late-night drinks at The Stinger, the hotel’s bar, which had a great atmosphere. A special thank you to Eric (“Spaghetti”), who made our stay even more memorable. We saw him working late at The Stinger, and to our surprise, he was also working at breakfast the next morning. Despite the long hours, he greeted us warmly with a genuine smile and took wonderful care of us. His kindness, attentiveness, and positive attitude truly stood out, and we sincerely appreciated his exceptional hospitality. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City.

We enjoyed a delightful stay here recently. Danny, at the front desk, was able to give us a room upgrade because of our membership in the hotel's loyalty program, and we ended up in a bright room with interesting views. Everywhere we turned in the hotel, we encountered kind and friendly staff, including in the attached restaurant where we had a tasty dinner. The room service breakfast we ordered the night before checkout arrived hot and delicious, exactly at the requested time. We'd be pleased to return here.

Summary: Spacious rooms but outdated, terrible service, unresolved issues, and no attention to special occasions. Definitely not the luxury experience you'd expect from an InterContinental. We booked this stay for my wife's birthday and her first-ever trip to New York. I informed the hotel almost two months in advance and even contacted the concierge a week before arrival requesting a small birthday setup. The concierge never responded, and throughout our stay, not a single staff member even wished her a happy birthday. The biggest issue was the room's AC. It would alternate between freezing cold and unbearably hot. Three different "engineers" visited on the first day but couldn't fix it. At 4 AM, after another sleepless night, I had to go to the front desk, only to be told the hotel was full. After escalating, we were moved to a lower-category room—which had the exact same AC problem. The poor service didn't end there. One of my garments wasn't returned by the laundry team before checkout, and despite repeatedly requesting the shipment tracking details after leaving, I still haven't received them. I was also charged the Destination Fee even though the front desk had confirmed during checkout that it would be waived because of the multiple issues we experienced. The rooms are large, but they are old and in desperate need of renovation. More importantly, the guest service is far below what I'd expect from an InterContinental. Between the unresponsive concierge, unresolved maintenance issues, laundry mishandling, billing discrepancies, and complete lack of attention to a special occasion, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've had. There are plenty of better options in New York at this price point. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The room was clean and the cleaner was very attentive. The sheets felt kind of basic and didn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Our TV didn't work for streaming from our phones and iPads. There is sadly no pool. The service overall was good and Eddie from the bar was very friendly. The hotel offered umbrellas for the customers. I got the breakfast for 2 and a 100 dollar credit for my stay. The location is excellent with the subway allowing access to the Stadium, Wall Street area and museums around NYC.

Nice hotel even if it is near Times Square ;-) Highlights: - Nice rooms - Dark shades for keeping daylight out if want to sleep in - With our booking we got complimentary breakfast each morning and it was a nice buffet that was open til 11am - Easy access to subway with stop right next door steps away - Many stores, restaurants, shows, attractions, and bars within walking distance - Close to Hell's Kitchen so not right in the center of Times Square craziness - Bar and restaurant downstairs Midlights: - No lobby area with seating. There is a section that's part of the restaurant but you can't bring food in there. - Bar closes at 11pm Lowlights: - Fridge only for hotel charged drinks and pressure sensitive so no room for leftover food - No waters provided--many hotels especially in the summer heat provided at least a bottle a day
