【Easy Arrival】 After a week-long liveaboard diving trip, the resort’s airport pickup and 20-minute speedboat ride from Male were extremely convenient. We were welcomed by the staff with joyful music upon arrival, and our host Eliza was warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. 【Beautiful Villa & Island】 Waking up every morning to the jelly-blue ocean outside our villa was incredibly refreshing. We loved relaxing on the overwater hammock net while watching the ocean waves and marine life below. The island was also peaceful and easy to explore by foot, bicycle, or buggy. 【Amazing Snorkeling】 The highlight for us was snorkeling and free diving around the house reef. We saw sharks, stingrays, and many colorful fish, especially near the Ocean Water Villa area where marine life was more active. 【Dining】 The resort has three restaurants: Firedoor, The Edge, and Breeze. I will review them separately on their individual Google Maps locations. 【Weather in May】 The hight season in the Maldives is usually from August to April. Even during the rainy season in May, we still enjoyed sunshine and beautiful weather every day with occasional rains. 【Tip for Future Guests】 If snorkeling and seeing marine life directly outside your villa are important to you, I would recommend choosing an Ocean Water Villa instead of a Lagoon Water Villa.

Our stay at Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives was truly unforgettable. We stayed in an Ocean Water Villa, and it was absolutely stunning—spacious, peaceful, and beautifully designed. Being able to step directly into the crystal-clear ocean for a swim or snorkel was an incredible experience, and we were thrilled to spot plenty of colourful fish right around our villa. The complimentary Kids' Club was fantastic. A special thank you to Saira, who kept our daughter happily engaged with activities like cupcake decorating, painting, and sand art. We especially appreciated that she regularly sent us photos and videos, allowing us to enjoy those special moments even while we were relaxing elsewhere on the island. Another highlight was snorkeling with the resort's marine biologist, Grace. She introduced us to fascinating marine life and later gave an insightful presentation about sharks that completely changed our perspective. The island itself is beautiful, with three excellent restaurants. The buffet breakfast had a wonderful variety, and dinner at Firedoor was unforgettable—we even watched sharks swimming beneath the restaurant while enjoying an exceptional meal. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated host, Aya, who made everything seamless, from check-in to reservations and activity bookings. The most memorable part of our stay was the thoughtful birthday surprise for my husband. After I mentioned the occasion before our arrival, the resort beautifully decorated our bed and surprised him with a complimentary birthday cake. It was such a kind gesture and created a memory our family will cherish for years to come. Thank you to the entire Grand Park Kodhipparu team for making our Maldives holiday so special. We highly recommend this resort and hope to return one day.

This was my first time experiencing the resort holiday, safe to say i had no trounble or any confusion during my stay, as there was a wonderful host that was assigned to us. Aya was very responsive when it came to anything, and any and all requests from us were also taken into account very fast. The experience itself was amazing. We were able to enjoy everything because of this and the because of how informative Aya was about the resort and it's services. All of the other staffs we encountered in the dining as well as other activities were also very kind and informative. Will definitely come again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Would have been perfect to have a bungalow with access to shallow water (I think the lower number villas). The water around ours, even at low tide was already above 1.7 meters.

Where do you start. Initially seems like the trip and location of a lifetime however, we were possibly expecting to be able to get to the city of Male to look around to break up the monopoly of a tiny island but found that unless you were willing to pay literally 100's of dollars to get a 20 minute transfer and fit into restrictive resort airport pick-up timings, you were largely limited to a tiny island for the entire time. Food and Drink; unbelievably expensive with the bonus of + + taxes added on top. Sand and Sea; unbelievably beautiful however, if this all you want to see, would consider a holiday in the Whitsundays instead. We eventually cut the resort holiday short to stay in Male, and found a slightly impoverished nation, despite the opulent resorts owned by major outside global organisations. In our resort, many of the other guests were either Russians or Chinese Influencer photographers.
