I loved the location, it was central to all the touristy spots. It was my first time to NYC and staying at the Manhattan allowed me to do so many things. The room was perfect. What added to our travel that made it superb was the service. Ashley who was in charge of the 18th was so warm and welcoming. We had to loveliest conversations in the morning. We even gave her a hug when we left. All the staff were very pleasant; from the doorman Gene, to the grab and go staff William, and the night clerk (I forgot her name but she was I loved the location, it was central to all the touristy spots). It was very affordable considering the location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed on the nonrenovated floor *gasp!* It was fine and comfortable for me! They said I could upgrade for an additional charge but I wanted to save my $$$ for shopping. My room was on the edge of the building so I had two walls of windows with 24/7 led video screens! Total Times Square Experience! The blackout curtains and my little Snooz white noise sound machine made sure I slept very comfortably. They also had a wonderful water machine on each floor, I could fill up my bottle with cold distilled water whenever. I really enjoyed my stay here, it was a great value. What to expect on the no renovations floors, no vent in bathroom, door closes loudly, no direct usb plugs, no fridge, outdated everything.

The only good thing about this place is the location. I paid almost $600 a night. The room was dirty. Stains on ceiling. Stains on the floor. Stains on the bedsheets. The pillows were so flimsy and gross, I ended up using the pillows from the other bed (got two beds) and it still wasn’t enough. The bed felt like a water bed but it wasn’t. It was squishy in some spots and firm in others. It looked like the rooms haven’t been updated since the 90s and cleaned since the early 2000s. For almost $600 a night I expect AT LEAST clean sheets. I slept on the comforter in My clothes. Disgusting. The shower also would only do either arctic tundra cold or pits of hell hot. There was so happy medium. Also there was mold in the grout in the shower. I always bring My own soap, but I usually wash My hands when I first get in with whatever hotels body wash soap. It was empty. Also I could feel water trapped under the tub. Disgusting disgusting disgusting. It felt like I was at a motel 6. Gross.

Arriving at the hotel after midnight, having called early evening to reconfirm our rooms and inform the hotel of our late arrival due to a delayed flight, we were kept waiting for over an hour due to 'an issue'. The issue turned out to be that our rooms were not available. The night manager was extremely rude, did not apologize and told me i should be grateful that he was willing to help me out with two king rooms for 7 people. I had to book a room at another property at three times the nightly rate to sleep two of our party, and deal with very upset and tired children. Eventually around 2am we were able to access the two king rooms for 5 people. They were unrenovated rooms (we had booked renovated rooms) with aircon not functioning, and it made for a very uncomfortable night. The next morning a very apologetic staff member assisted us in getting access to the rooms we had booked but we had to vacate the room for 4 hours until the rooms were available. With little compensation offered this was an extremely stressful, expensive and negative experience. I had read the reviews and understood the hotel was under renovation and the stay may not be smooth but I never expected to arrive to deal with that. Once in the rooms we had booked they were fine and I would have had no complaints. Multiple families were checking in at the same time as us and were experiencing the same issue. So be warned if you are arriving very late!

Health, Safety, and Building Code Hazards + bed bugs . If your looking for a horror story then stay here ,it will traumatize you for good along with the blood sucking bed bugs . The establishment is a hazard zone that is "not fit for tenancy nor stays" and would likely fail building department code and lose its certificate of occupancy. • Lead Paint Exposure: Visible lead paint exposure throughout the room. • Electrical Hazards: • Loose, hanging light bulb with exposed wiring, posing a serious electrocution risk (do not stay if u have kids or infants) • Filthy Furniture: Drawer interiors were "disgusting" and "so bad", with unknown residue/stains from previous stays. Honestly it looks like they picked the furniture off the street to put in the hotel from the light stand to the chess draw ,beds and TV . • Mold/Pest Issues: Mold visible on the floor rug and yes you can even smell it . Used my ashma pump about 3 times in the night • Loose electrical cables near the heater and coffee table, presenting additional electrical hazards. • Heating Hazard: Fully exposed heater unit with broken control knobs. • Structural/Building Integrity: The elevator sounds like your in the titanic as its singking .additionally on the 6th floor the head of the elevator indicating up or down is totally exposed and not closed • Fitness Center: The gym is "a joke," with only four to 5 outdated and dysfunctional machines . • Lack of Essential Appliances: • No refrigerator. • No blow dryer. • No body lotion in the bathroom. • No conditioner in the bathroom. • Dysfunctional TV: Television is constantly "looking for signal" Service and Functionality Failures
