I stayed here for one night, the night before the NYC Marathon, it was a very convenient location for my 7:30am ferry out of pier 79. I really just needed a comfortable place to sleep for one night and it served its purpose. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but there was no mini fridge in the room. The bathroom didn’t offer much privacy as there was only a sliding glass door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom/ sink, which is not a dealbreaker for me but may be for some. From what I see now prices are more toward the $200/$300 per night mark, but I paid over $700 for one night given it was marathon weekend and halloween weekend. As others have said the room is small, but if you just need somewhere to sleep and aren’t spending much time in your room it doesn’t make too much of a difference

My first time staying at a Yotel and it was very good. The hotel is extremely well-run by an excellent staff - from front desk to security to housekeeping. The hotel staff was very helpful in accommodating some particular and peculiar needs that I had. The room was comfortable, efficient, clean, and (apparently) environmentally friendly. The shower was really nice. I slept very well. The location is excellent and the elevators are the fastest I've ever been on. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely stay here again, and will also look for them in other locations.

I’m finally retiring YOTEL from my rotation. For context I’m born and raised in NYC and as an adult have moved away. Whenever I come home for a QUICK concert, show or event trip- its always easier to stay in a hotel that I have some privacy for my partner and I and can come and go without disturbing my family’s day to day. For years, YOTEL has been a great landing spot- conveniently located on 10th- a short walk to any train I may have needed and while that’s still true the quality of this hotel has gone downhill fast. I used to love it for its cleanliness but the upkeep of the hotel paired with poor quality service makes it such a dump these days. While everyone in the hotel is kind of just seems like the overall vibe is to do the bare minimum. I booked a last minute trip to see my sister and go to a concert- YOTEL was available and I was happy to book. Upon entering our room I almost wanted to immediately check out and find another spot to stay. Our bed looked like some had already sat on it, the sinks were stained, there was mold in the shower and the room was just overall beat up. On our second morning the fire alarm went off for about 25 minutes with no communication. We called to the front desk and they just said not to worry. After the alarm stopped, about 10 minutes of peace it came back on and continued for another 10 minutes. After a night out, our plans for a slow morning and sleeping in was ruined. While I’m sure this was possibly a one off it seemed important to mention. I am genuinely sad to leave this review- YOTEL has been a great choice for location, cleanliness and price for years but has since dropped down to a 2 star at best hotel and I will not be returning.

Claims to be 4-star, but honestly worse than many motels I've stayed at. Arrived at 12:30 pm to store luggage, was charged $3 per bag even though we were just a couple of hours ahead of check-in! The self storage was out of order. The self check-in kiosks weren't working--lots of disgruntled guests lining up at reception for help. Had to pay $50 facility fee PER NIGHT per room, adding up to $850 for our party! They should have charged this at the time of booking like any honest business; Hidden fees should be a crime. Shower in my room does not drain, ankle-deep puddle. Most elevators broken on the first morning. Staff said service was working on it, but staff should have alerted residents through email, text, or simply pasting a notice on every floor. Lots of super frustrated residents walking down the fire exit. Phone in room didn't work, had to come down to ask for an ironing board. Overall, all things seem to break down while I'm here!

Rooms are what you expect - small but functional and great storage under the bed. Loved the adjustable beds, comfortable too. Location is great, excluding coming and going from the parking garage/loading luggage - give yourself some extra time. Marilyn C, thank you for your kindness and customer service! Overall, perfect for “touristy” location if not spending time in the room. Note, the resort fee is quite pricey and hidden extra fees for early check in/late check out if booked through 3rd party.
