We recently stayed at Banyan Tree Maldives, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences we’ve ever had. From the very moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond. Their kindness, empathy, and genuine care created a sense of calm and reassurance that allowed us to truly switch off and relax. The level of service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and always ready to help, often anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. It never felt forced or over the top, just effortlessly thoughtful. The food was outstanding, consistently high quality, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Every meal felt like an experience in itself, especially at the beautifully designed, and architectural marvel, Madi Hiyaa Japanese restaurant. What truly sets Banyan Tree Maldives apart is its understated luxury. There’s no need for excess or flash, it’s refined, peaceful, and deeply authentic. It felt less like a resort and more like a home away from home, somewhere we could completely unwind and reconnect. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already thinking about when we can return. I had a really good stay at Banyan Tree Maldives. I stayed in a beachfront villa and absolutely loved it — the view was beautiful and I had direct access to the beach, so I could swim and snorkel anytime I wanted. The location is also super convenient, only about 25 minutes by boat from the airport. The service was excellent, especially from Fatima. She helped us during check-in, throughout the stay, and during check-out. She gave us all the information we needed, welcomed us with a drink voucher, arranged a late checkout until 4:30 PM, and even organised free snorkelling with the marine lab team on our last day. Her warmth and hospitality really made our stay special — now whenever I go to a hotel or resort, I feel like I will miss having someone like Fatima around. The diving team was also very kind — I forgot the name, but thank you for the discount and the free hot chocolate after the dive! Food was good, though there’s still room for improvement. Amenities can also be slightly improved, but overall still a wonderful stay. Overall, Banyan Tree Maldives gave me a relaxing and memorable experience. Would definitely come back again.

I enjoy staying at this hotel. But this year, the pricing is absolutely unacceptable. For this price, you can choose much more interesting resorts with large pools, overwater villas, tennis courts, several different restaurants, and entertainment options. The Banyan Tree has very small villas, only two restaurants, and a small gym. For this reason, I chose a different hotel this year. I'm giving it three stars, but I hope the price matches the quality.
