My wife and I spent our honeymoon at 19 Rooms in Malta. The service was really good - especially Humberto, who helped us with a slight technical issue (it turns out you have to turn the A/C on manually 😅). The breakfast selection every morning is fantastic, and so is the afternoon snack with free wine. The rooftop terrace is decent size, with a nice view of Sliema. The room itself (superior deluxe sweet) was spacious and clean. The location is convenient - it’s very central. It can be loud at times, which is to be expected. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and we would stay again.

I had high expectations due to the rating. Likes: the layout of the room. The bed was relatively comfortable. Dislikes: it is not 4 stars hotel, 3 at max. Amenities are minimal. I see the dust the corners of the room. Specially when I had to plug in the fridge, there was a lot of dust. One of the male receptionists is not friendly at all. He should not be in service industry. He does not smile and do the bare minimum friendliness to interact with customer. The one that really bothered me was mosquitoes. How is it possible to have mosquitoes in Nov? It attacked me all nights, could not sleep. The breakfast was also quite generic. I did not enjoy at all, so I went out and had at the restaurants for the last 2 days.

2/5 stars. The bathroom was poorly maintained, with cracked sealant, damaged grout, visible patch repairs, holes in tiles, and worn finishes. While the room was functional and generally clean, the condition of the bathroom fell well below the standard I would expect from a hotel and significantly detracted from the stay.

19 Rooms claims to be a 4-star hotel but lacks many amenities. One of the main issues for me was that they advertise all rooms have AC. While this is technically true, they block the AC feature on the master control system. After the first night, I spoke with the front desk reception about getting the AC running in my room. They advised that they only run the AC in the middle of summer and that heat is on for the rest of the year. This also disables the “Fan” feature in the room. As a result, you get stale air and humidity. The room temperature read 24°C and about 65% humidity based on their control panel. The only option offered was to leave the window open, which faced directly toward the bed, meaning anyone walking through the courtyard could look in and see my wife and me sleeping. I was in Room 18 and ended up checking out early and moving to a different hotel nearby. Pros: Great location with a good view away from bars and restaurants. The breakfast was good and as advertised.

Monica was an amazing first glimpse of the hotel! She sat in the reception when we checked in and here friendliness really set the standard! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, even though the eggs were a little too hard boiled for my personal preference:) Super friendly staff that also offer complementary wine between 6-7 pm!
