Great hotel, perfectly located. It’s just over from the Yumbo centre, just a two minute walk, surprisingly there’s no noise issues though. Some say the rooms are a little dated and to be fair I agree, but the rest of the hotel makes up for this. Amazing pool and terrace area, breakfast is awesome and every taste is catered for. The staff all go above and beyond to make visitors feel welcome. Great work Servatur Don Miguel, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Nice hotel overall - but could be a lot better. Rooms are cleaned daily, sometimes a little too early. No kettle/tea and coffee in rooms. No iron either (basics which are usually supplied in most other hotels). Bed is comfy enough but on wheels and moves during the night... Pool is decent and always loungers available. Towels available to rent. Beach bar service left a lot to be desired. Very slow. Most of the time you have to go to the bar and order yourself as the staff stand by the bar and hardly acknowledge you. Location is excellent. Close to the beach, close to lots of decent restaurants and bars. Taxi rank just outside and plenty of buses a few minutes walk away. Overall, cheap and cheerful but don't expect too much and then you won't be disappointed.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are a decent size. Staff are amazing. Very helpful, especially Patricia (short hair and walks about very authoritative). Yes some of the furniture could do with a service. (ie.. some of the wood swollen with old age and damp.) Bed is very comfortable, sheets are clean and room is serviced very well every day. Pool area is amazing, along with the sunbeds. Outside bar and stage is a nice touch. Would I return?.. hell yes.

I've stayed at Don Miguel many times and always had a great experience! The rooms are comfortable and the hotel facilities and service are very good. I enjoyed breakfast and found there were many options for me - vegans and vegetarians should be pretty satisfied with what's on offer :) It's in a great location near to Yumbo but still quiet in your room at night. I will definitely be staying again! Top tips - The hotel is very big so ask for a room near to the lifts if you have any difficulties walking. The gym is open 8am-8pm. The safe in the room is free. There is a small fridge in the room. Pool towels are provided with a 10 euro deposit you pay at reception. There is a taxi rank directly outside the hotel. The bus stop to and from the airport is only a 4 minute walk away. Breakfast gets very busy 9am-10am so go around 8am if you like it quieter. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk downhill.

The receptionist was nice when we arrived. No flexibility in being able to change to a twin room - even when offered to pay for a separate room. Room very tired with poor air conditioning, 2 plug sockets and exhausted furniture / outdated tv. Breakfast was poor at best, plenty of choice but minimal selection was any good. WiFi was passable. Small gym, a pool and conference / theatre area. Good outside bar. Fantastic location, had an awful experience with the airport transfer but that wasn't the hotel's fault. I don't want a standard / copy & paste reply as per the other reviews, the reality of the situation is the hotel just isn't as good as what I thought it was going to be based on other reviews / how nice it looks outside and as you walk in. It is a big building don't get me wrong, but the experience was so poor that we left after 3 nights rather than stay any longer. A shame, just not for me.
