Stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days with my partner. Staff was friendly, room was very clean and our butlers Coniah and Bishop were great, very attentive and responded to our needs fast. I would recommend this resort to a couple looking for a relaxing location on the beach. However, the resort was out of a lot of things and does not have many options for people who are sober besides juice and coffee. Every restaurant we went to they were out of many items, our rooms were not restocked everyday with water and sodas even though we were told it would be, especially for diamond club. For the price you pay they should do a bit more to make sure everything is fully stoked. The beach was lovely but a lot of fish that swim into you. Overall the resort was clean, staff was welcoming but they need to do a bit more with guest satisfaction.

Jan 31-Feb 10th stayed in Overwater water bungalow. Room was great! Perfect for relaxing and watching everything from your own private deck, that you jump right into the ocean and with infinitely pool. Disappointment was hammock was broken. But great location you can sit and relax or it's just a short walk to other pools and bars with more going on. Butlers were good and helpful with dinner, excursions, etc but I wish I didn't have ask them every day to restock bar and snacks or ice for room. Food and entertainment I thought was good. Was not impressed with special over water dinner location that you had to pay extra. We have traveled to 7 other caribbean islands and find this was one of our top locations but it was also more expensive but wife and I really enjoyed. Few issues, said transfer to and from airport was included but we ended up paying for a taxi to and from the airport! The other thing was at the entrance was this lighted sign with music playing and young girls in leather outfits that didn't cover much dancing around sign! Sorry but reminded me of some late 80's strip club girls girls! Didn't give me the impression we were going to 5 star hotel.

My husband and I spent a week at the Royalton Chic Antigua for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful stay. I have to admit that some of the low star reviews being left on this resort made me hesitant about my trip however I can confirm that those reviews are not only unwarranted but false. The Positives: The property is located on Dickenson Bay, and the beach is absolutely stunning. We walked to neighboring resorts and still found Royalton's section to be the cleanest, nicest, and most peaceful. I would absolutely recommend upgrading to the Diamond Club. Our renovated ocean-view room was spacious and quiet, thanks to its location farther from the evening entertainment. The Diamond Club amenities made a huge difference. Our butler, Jim, was incredible and one of the highlights of our trip. Within an hour of our arrival he had arranged all of our restaurant reservations, gave us a tour of the property, helped decorate our room for my husband's birthday, and even arranged lunch delivery to us on the beach. The chicken burgers and nachos from the food truck were our favourites. The private Diamond Club pool was my favourite amenity. It was the nicest of the four pools, with comfortable loungers, umbrellas, and a much quieter atmosphere. The private beach section was equally enjoyable. The Diamond Club pool bar also had the best cocktails and service on the resort. A special thank you to Ersa and Ashley, who were always so friendly. Every morning started with an iced coffee from Insomnia Café. I unfortunately didn't get her name, but the woman working the weekday morning shifts greeted me with a smile every day and even memorized my order. It was such a thoughtful touch. Another standout was Diane at the beach bar, whose mixology class was a lot of fun, and Jordan, the manager at Haven Grill, who treated us like family. Our favourite dinner restaurant was Vespa however Haven Grill was a close second. Room service was excellent. Orders were confirmed almost immediately and usually arrived within 30–40 minutes. Areas for Improvement: Housekeeping could be more consistent. Rooms were often cleaned late in the afternoon, so on several days ours wasn't serviced because we had already returned by 3:00pm to relax. I also noticed a few stains on walls in both our bathroom and the buffet that remained throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was fresh but became repetitive by the end of the week. Our fave buffet item throughout the week was definitely the jerk chicken. Pescari has a beautiful setting, but we didn't feel the portions justified the additional cost (40 USD+ /person). Given that it's such an iconic feature of the resort, I think they could offer a better options for the value. Hunter Steakhouse was our least favourite restaurant, as the brisket was tough. By the afternoon, towels at the Diamond Club pool ran out, requiring a trip to the main pool. It wasn't a major issue but could be improved. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable, but once the shows ended there wasn't much to do besides visit the bars. We also would have loved if the pools stayed open later than 5:30 p.m. Final Thoughts The resort never felt overcrowded, and we never had trouble finding loungers by the pool or beach. The relaxed atmosphere made it feel peaceful and exclusive, and the music at the main pool was the perfect volume. One surprise was how many fish swim close to shore—we definitely jumped a few times when they brushed against our legs! Finally, I want to address the negative reviews about the staff. Based on our experience, I simply don't agree. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We treated everyone with kindness and received the same in return. The people at Royalton CHIC were one of the biggest reasons we enjoyed our honeymoon so much. Overall, it is clear that this resort is very well managed. We would return to Royalton CHIC Antigua and would happily recommend it to others. Thank you to everyone on the Royalton team for making our honeymoon so memorable!

Our 5-day stay at Royalton CHIC Antigua was unfortunately one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was chaotic and poorly managed. There was little communication, long wait times, and no sense of urgency from staff to resolve issues. After traveling, this was not the welcome we expected from a resort marketed as premium and adults-only luxury. The issues continued throughout our stay. We experienced multiple power outages — some lasting over an hour — which disrupted dinners, evening routines, and even sleep. There was minimal communication during these outages. No proactive updates. No reassurance. Guests were left in the dark — literally and figuratively. Room service was equally frustrating. Calls often went unanswered. When orders were taken, they were significantly delayed or incorrect. On more than one occasion, we had to follow up multiple times with no clear resolution. For a resort of this price point, basic service standards were not met. The overall attitude of many staff members felt dismissive and unprofessional. While we encountered a few polite individuals, consistency in hospitality was lacking. There seemed to be little accountability or urgency in addressing guest concerns. What makes this especially disappointing is that the property itself has potential. The aesthetics are beautiful. However, the operational failures, poor communication, repeated power disruptions, and lack of customer service made this stay far below expectations. Given the premium pricing, we expected a seamless luxury experience — not constant inconveniences and service breakdowns. Management seriously needs to address these operational and customer service issues. Until then, I would not recommend this resort.
