100% a 4 stars hotel, but getting bit old at the room. Breakfast was nice, poll food was ok and dinner was worth it. Loved Fatima at breakfast and a small chef with beard at dinner, dont know his name. Did get free parking everyday outside and that is perfect. Weather wasn't that bad and still have some sun, what makes everything even better. Lovely island, lovely island and lovely staff overall. My rating is 5 stars, but have a look in the rooms, please

Just read some of the reviews on here and don't understand what people are moaning about!! Breakfast buffet is delicious and sooo much choice! Cooked breakfasts, omlettes, waffles , at least 5 types of bread, cereals, juices, gluten free options; plant milks, yoghurts, salads, an array of fruits, cold meats, cheeses, croissants, rolls, cakes and pastries the list goes on. One person said no stairs?? There are stairs! I'm staying here currently and have used the stairs all day today! Hotel is very clean, all the staff are lovely and very helpful, pools are very nice, grounds and setting beautiful. Right on the promenade. There is nothing not to like! Small but adequate gym which i have used everyday. Hotel very convenient for the public bus and lots of nearby restaurants and cafes and shops/supermarket. Breathtaking ocean views from most of the rooms. Thought we would only get a shower in the bathroom but were delighted to have a bath as well. Had a very nice 5 day break in Madeira and hope to stay at this hotel again in the future.

We spent a truly wonderful holiday at the Pestana Promenade. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and all staff and service personnel were always friendly and attentive. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Rodrigues, who was always there for us as guest manager, organized excursions, and immediately helped with any questions or issues. The hotel itself also impressed us: the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food offered a wide variety every day and was of excellent quality. The overall atmosphere – from the pool to the bar and the common areas – was simply fantastic. We had an amazing time here and can highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had.

Stayed here earlier this month. Loved the hotel. Superb location. Had a lovely room overlooking the pools and sea. Although plenty of wardrobe space would like to see more drawers but very spacious room. The pools are beautiful. My only main criticism is no stairs and had to wait for a lift each time - even for one floor! All in all though an excellent hotel in a superb location and it was all very clean.

We stayed earlier this year and were disappointed with our room. Having enjoyed a stay in the Pestana Miramare previously we had high hopes Appreciated the little kitchen area but the room was squeezed in a corner with virtually no view and in continual shade so we were cold and slept badly as the wall heater didn’t work The air conditioner of the room above dripped on to our little balcony area making the floor slippery. Unfortunately the hotel were unable to offer us an alternative room. Friends liked their room so I would advise checking out the room you are offered before unpacking your luggage.
