The beautiful small village of Puerto de Mogan is where this hotel is situated. We came with Jet2 for 7 days between 16th to 23rd December. Weather was between 16 to 21 so definitely need a cardigan and/or jumper. But even with the lowest temperatures, the sun is shining. The area has a lot of shops, restaurants and other activities such as hiking. It's a paradise for younger children as there are a lot of play areas in and around the hotel plus the local authority organises activities for the children, outside of the hotel (as in as soon as you step out). About the hotel - some reviews mentioned that the rooms are a bit out of date, I disagree as it is purely down to style of decor the hotel is aiming for. So if you want a back to the 80s hacienda style of hotel, this is it and it's beautiful. We booked half board but in retrospect, a breakfast only would have been fine thanks to the plethora of restaurants in the area. Breakfast choices are fine but dinner, they fall short although not a bad thing so people can go and spend in the local community. For dinner service, you are allocated a permanent table to your room and a timeslot but you are not obliged to keep to it. I can confirm the issues with room billing as there was a charge to ours but the receptionist immediately saw that we didn't eat in on the night the charge occurred so it was swiftly rectified. I think the cause may be due to the preallocated dinner tables so when you don't show up, if they give the table to other customers, you end up getting the bill (easily rectified though). Pool areas are satisfactory but you cannot avoid the northern European towel mongrels - you know, the ones that set their alarm at 6am to go and place their towels and have downloaded an app on their phone to track the sun movements so they adjust their sunbeds accordingly. Yep, they are present! Hotel is very clean when we visited and would surely recommended for the winter months. The room was big for the 2 of us but the beds are on wheels so you can easily play dodgem with them as there are no breaks on the wheels (it's a split divan base setup). As a 6'5" person and above average weight, the bed mattress wasn't great and pillows weren't really supportive but you can ask for extra and they would happily provide them. Staff are friendly and professional. If you decide to take a trip to Puerto Rico. The bus station is opposite the lower area part of the hotel. Ticket is €3,50 return compared to ,€15 plus you would pay on a taxi and there is one every 20 minutes. Las Palmas visit should also be on your schedule as it has lots to do - we visited the aquarium and it was a nice experience. Overall, Puerto de Mogan is a wonderful, picturesque place and the locals call it the Venice of the Canaries (but as much as Birmingham with its' canals is the Venice of England so is Mogan). We will visit it again and possibly the same hotel around the same period.

Full of activities for children in the day yet quiet at night. Excellent breakfast buffet and friendly staff. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a small town by the water. We will be back.

Great hotel. Rooms are very nice but needs better maintenance when I emptied the bathroom sink it pulled the water trap and allowed sewerage smells to enter the bathroom. The maids were great could not fault them. Food was very nice. Drinks are very expensive and entertainment was ok. The experience that you get is that the place is inside botanical garden. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

A great place for a family holiday. Lovely gardens around all the pools. The quiet pool is especially beautiful to look out from and relax. The complex just seems a little tired and they seem to struggle to keep it all maintained. Bathroom in our superior room was lovely and seemed recently updated. Sadly not enough switches around the place and ironing shorts was a real challenge so I'd recommend bringing your own steamer for ease. The mini club is great and the kids really enjoyed the activities. The family activities in the main pool are also very engaging and well run. Overall would recommend. The hotel needs to try and upgrade the rest of the room and bring more into the future. Once done, this place will be amazing!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the most incredible week at Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel, in Puerto De Mogan celebrating our wedding with our family and friends. Every single guest loved it so much they’re already talking about coming back! From the delicious food, hotel grounds and super attentive staff our whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. A huge thank you to Maria and her amazing team for all the care, attention, and thoughtful arrangements that made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Maria went above and beyond in every way — she even organised the chapel flowers with a local florist to perfectly match my bouquet and the whole wedding vibe. We also want to give a special mention to Tenesoya, who performed such a beautiful ceremony that we’ll remember forever. And an extra special thank you to Maria for kindly lending my brother her husband’s guitar so he could play during the ceremony — such a personal and touching gesture. Our stay in the honeymoon suite was faultless — from the thoughtful gifts to the creative (and very fun!) towel arrangements. Everything was perfect. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, and we always felt well looked after. The hot tub in the honeymoon suite was such a luxury! We loved every moment of our time at Cordial Playa and can’t wait to return for our first wedding anniversary. Thank you again for making our wedding week so magical! 💕
