⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Family Holiday at Gloria Palace, San Agustin - Highly Recommend! We recently stayed at Gloria Palace in San Agustin and it was an absolutely wonderful experience — our first time both at the resort and visiting Gran Canaria. From the moment we arrived, we were really impressed with how clean, well-maintained, and welcoming everything was. The food was excellent with great quality and a wide variety of choices — plenty to suit all tastes and ages. The pool areas are lovely, with ample sun beds and fun slides for the kids. We also enjoyed the spa facilities, which added to the feeling that this hotel truly goes the extra mile for its guests. One special highlight was the reception team. When my daughter accidentally left her beloved teddy among the items taken for cleaning, the staff went above and beyond to find it — she was overjoyed to get her “squashy” back! That personal touch really made our stay extra memorable. We travel about five times a year, and this hotel definitely ranks among the best family resorts we’ve stayed at. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed for 11 nights in February booking with Jet2. Very nice hotel in a quieter part of Gran Canaria. Lovely friendly staff. Food was good and plentiful, although often wrongly labelled. It was often difficult to get a drink at lunch and dinner as the waiting staff were so busy. 2 free buses to nearby Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas per day. Public buses to Puerto de Mogan and Las Palmas were fairly frequent but usually full so difficult to get on. To get to public buses and seafront necessitated a walk up and down a steep hill. Plenty of sunbeds around the large pool. Lots of daily entertainment including yoga, boules, aqua aerobics and bingo. Nightly entertainment included singers, magicians and dancers and was mostly from 9 for 45 mins, followed by a singer.

⚠️ Warning for regular guests: the pools are no longer heated this year. We are regular guests at Gloria Palace San Agustín and have been choosing this hotel for our holidays in Gran Canaria for many years. One of the main reasons we always came back was the heated pools, especially during certain times of the year. For this reason, we were quite disappointed to discover that the pools are no longer heated. In addition, the rooftop area is currently under construction, which we believe should be communicated more clearly before booking, as it is also one of the hotel’s highlighted features. That said, we would like to point out that the staff remain as friendly and professional as always, the cleanliness is still excellent, and the food continues to be very good. In those aspects, we have no complaints at all. However, speaking honestly and respectfully, we believe that for the current price there are many other options on the island offering similar or even better value, especially now that the heated pools — which used to be one of the hotel’s key selling points — are no longer available. We truly hope the hotel reconsiders this decision, because we have always enjoyed our stays here and would like to continue returning in the future.

Right from arrival the front reception staff were freindly, hospitable and very caring. All staff spoke very good English (as well as other languages) and offered guests lots of information about the rooms, services, facilities and about what's what around the local area. The food was fantastic during all meals! Originally we had gone for half board but we changed our mind as soon as we got there, and at a reasonable cost. The service staff are on you as soon as you sit down, offering drinks and so forth, which is great. The facilties are also great, with plenty of bars open most of the day, two pools (one for kids, the other which is much larger is for the adults and bigger kids), plenty of deck chairs and loungers to sun bathe on, and plenty of areas for shade (if you're a bit shy of the sun. The room I and my wife had was on the 4th floor, we had everything needed such as a large walk in shower, 2 sinks, a toilet, a hair dryer, ple ty of storage for your clothes, and plenty of sockets for your plugs to go into. The outdoor balcony had plenty of space and provided us with a great overview of our hotel, and a fantastic view of the local town and the sea. Talking of which, it takes around 10 minutes of walking to get to the beach. There's a fair few shops that provide everything you need, and there's also a laundrette in town by the local spar shop. Lastly but not least, I'd like to offer my appreciation to ALL of the hard working staff at this fantastic hotel in providing my family with a warm, happy and rememberable stay. Thank you guys n girls x

Large and BUSY. Tired rooms, average food, pleasant surroundings. Pool is too small for this many people. All inclusive not worth it - cheap chemical drinks and basic alcohol. Family room looked tired - shower floor had old dirt, mould in places, hair everywhere. Bed headboard broken, old and stained mattress, ripped bed linen. Staff either don’t get enough time to clean or no one checks the quality. Average quality food (think Tesco value range), juices are not fresh and cocktails are made of cheap syrups. We stuck to water and wine/sangria. Rules on dress code in the restaurant, pool lounger use and not smoking areas are not enforced. 15min walk to the beach is up and down the hill in a not straightforward way, which in the heat and flip flops feels like forever. Pros - family room is large and has a separate room and bed for a teen. Working aircon (but looks dusty). Balcony/terrace. Seawater pool, plenty of loungers. Ok gym, leaks all over the ceiling and some equipment. Drinking water daily. Lovely staff. Only 20min from airport. Gran Canaria is lovely. We will be looking for smaller resorts in the future and full or half board. A car is a must.
