We had a wonderful stay at elba Estepona. I cannot think of anything negative about our stay. Staff were so pleasant, room was so comfortable and clean. Food was fantastic. A friendly and relaxed ambience all around. Can't wait to go back. A really lovely experience. Dave

Super place. On the beach. Lovely food, great amenities, including the pool areas, staff are excellent. Not a lot around outside the hotel complex which is very large. Estepona is nearly 3 miles away walking about 40/45minutes along the boardwalk and path by the sea or 12 minutes by bus which you catch outside the hotel but they are alittle intermittent. Taxi is an option for a price. Overall a lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday. 👍

I did not stay at this hotel, I went there to discover the spa facilities and ended up having a coffee and sandwich at the bar and combination cafe. The lady charged with serving was too busy flirting with a man at the bar and had little time for us. A five star restaurant and when a customer drops a knife you would expect the waiter to come to the table with a replacement, but no, she was to busy laughing and entertaining the sole guest at the bar. All it requires is a negative experience like this to turn a customer away for good. Needless to say, I will never patronize this place again. Quite a shame since the personnel at reception were very pleasant and the lobby is very beautiful and well decorated.

Good hotel if you like old furniture and settings. Even better if you like to sleep with the balcony door open as they switched off the air conditioner in the night. If you like pebble beach instead of sand, this is the place for you. Great spa if you like piano massage by untrained massage therapist. Sadly for me, I don't like any of above

I stayed in this hotel last August. I was excited because it was rated well and pictures looked nice. However, for one, there are cockroaches in the rooms. Absolutely disgusting. The hotel is also in some disrepair. Flooring by the adult pool was pulled up in places, the lounger beds had rotting wood. The food is also terrible. We had dinner at their upscale restaurant one evening (never again!) and it was for sure microwaved. A shame because it was probably nice the first time it was cooked. All in our 4 person party agreed. The breakfast included canned fruit-- in August when produce is at its peak? Bizarrely cheap. When we brought these problems to the hotel desk they were pretty unconcerned. Otherwise the staff is pretty agreeable and generally friendly. I honestly don't understand how there are so many good reviews because our stay was a major letdown and we will not return. Most people complain about the birds and sure they're annoying but not anywhere near the biggest problem this hotel has.
