Once I got there, the view was absolutely amazing! Then I was welcomed by the beautiful smile of our hostess, Uma. They made my birthday feel extra special. Marian surprised us with a chilled bottle of champagne, which was such a lovely touch. Throughout the evening, our waiter Jordi provided excellent service and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious, especially the sea bass! I had also asked them to bring out the cake at a specific time, and they did it right at midnight to celebrate the start of my birthday. Thank you so much for making my birthday such a special and memorable experience!

Our stay at this hotel for our minimoon in Ibiza was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so special — the stunning views, the beautiful atmosphere, and the incredibly warm and attentive staff made it feel like pure paradise. The hotel itself was immaculate, stylish, and so peaceful — exactly what we wanted after the wedding celebrations. Every little detail was thoughtfully done, from the amazing food and cocktails to the relaxing pool areas and breathtaking sunsets. We genuinely felt looked after the entire time. What made it even more magical was how romantic and tranquil the whole experience was. Waking up to the Ibiza sunshine, spending lazy afternoons by the pool, and enjoying gorgeous evenings together created memories we’ll never forget. Thank you for making our minimoon so perfect. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, however, definitely not a 5 star experience. The only time you receive quick service is when you’re being charged for something, otherwise, expect 20 minute waits for drinks and hour waits for room service of any kind. On the 2nd day I cut my foot twice from splinters of glass in the carpet in my room. Phone was broken in room and WiFi also did not work. Electric also kept cutting out. I spoke to the head of guest experience but other than a couple messages he did not do much to help. I was promised a deep clean of the room which was not carried out. The food is very nice but expensive. Coffee is between £6-£10 and water is £6 for a medium sized can.

We had a wonderful stay at Cala San Miguel Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, relaxing, and the staff were very welcoming throughout our visit. Nicely Located Hotel With Real Potential – But Not Yet at 5-Star Level Location & General The hotel sits in a beautiful, idyllic spot with lovely sea views and green surroundings. A rental car is strongly recommended, as nearby amenities are limited to a few small supermarkets. Room The room design is attractive and the materials are high-quality throughout. However, daily housekeeping was not thorough: shower glass, mirror, window, and bathroom bin were never properly cleaned. The A/C switches off when the window opens but does not turn back on automatically – and housekeeping didn't turn it back on either, so the room was often warm in the evenings. Nespresso capsules were restocked only sporadically and on request. Toiletries were not checked regularly; on one occasion there was no shower gel mid-shower. There was no toilet brush. A laundry bag left for housekeeping was simply ignored; when I brought it to reception in the evening, they asked if I wanted express service – at an extra charge. Not what you expect from a 5-star hotel. Pool Three of four pools were available free of charge. Food service at the pool was discontinued after the first few days; drinks were only served when actively requested. The pool bar was closed in June. The pools themselves are large, clean, and well-maintained, and the sun loungers are comfortable. Towels require a deposit card – also not typical of a 5-star property. The Beach Club has a minimum spend of EUR 250 for two loungers or EUR 300 for a daybed. Given that the only visible difference was towel colour and some sand on the floor, the Beach Club was virtually empty throughout our stay. Dropping this fee would make far more sense. Service Staff are friendly and mostly speak good English. Dinner service is fragmented across multiple roles (drinks, food, clearing, dessert), which occasionally led to things being missed. One incident stood out: a staff member stopped me from refilling my water bottle at the Club reception dispenser, insisting it was for welcome drinks only. Whether the policy is justified or not, it's the kind of moment that sticks. Food & Restaurants With half-board, guests can choose between the Steakhouse and La Savina. The food at both is excellent – well-presented and flavourful. Breakfast is outstanding too. One note: self-service coffee feels out of place at this level. Restaurant reservations are required for dinner even with half-board – this was not communicated at check-in. The menus are small and don't change, which becomes noticeable over 7 nights. Vegetarian options were very limited (La Savina) to essentially non-existent (Steakhouse). On request, waiters would present a separate vegetarian selection, but these dishes were purely vegetable-based with no real protein. Desserts at both restaurants were excellent. Pricing & Policies Prices are consistently high: EUR 140 for a 1-hour massage, EUR 18 for an Aperol, ~EUR 12 for a glass of wine. A 10% tip is automatically added to every bill – not standard in European hotels and never communicated. You have to proactively ask for it to be removed. A filtered water dispenser for guests would be both practical and sustainable; currently, guests receive two cans of water per day. Overall Impression The hotel has a great location, beautiful design, and genuinely good food. But housekeeping standards, service consistency, and a rigid policy structure don't yet match the 5-star positioning. Many of the issues seem to stem not from individual failures but from an overly complex set of rules without consistent oversight – the water incident, the pool towel deposit, the Beach Club pricing, and the parking situation (a near-empty Club car park while other guests are bussed to a remote lot) all point to the same underlying problem. With the right adjustments, this could be an excellent hotel.
