Vedema is a historic property that has been beautifully restored while still offering every luxury you would expect from a world-class resort. What truly sets it apart, though, is the people. The staff delivered some of the kindest hospitality I've ever experienced, and by the end of our stay it honestly felt like we were leaving a friend's home rather than checking out of a hotel. The dining is another highlight. Every restaurant on the property was outstanding—you could easily enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner here for a week without running out of incredible dishes to try. Located in the quieter village of Megalochori, Vedema is perfect for travelers looking to escape the crowds and experience a more authentic side of Santorini. If you're looking for relaxation, exceptional service, and genuine Greek hospitality, I couldn't recommend it more.

My wife and I stayed here for the first stop of our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. Beautiful property, excellent service, and great restaurant to name just a few things (definitely book a dinner downstairs at Alati). The location is great with some great restaurants and shops right there in Megalochori. Make sure you take a 15 min walk down to a beautiful look out point over the water (Heart of Santorini). The staff were incredible and were very accommodating. We had Spiros pick us up and drop us off, as well as took us out on a local wine/beer tour. He was very friendly and knowledgable about Santorini as well as greek wine. 10/10 recommend, would definitely love to come back.

Vedema Resort is an exceptional property where guest satisfaction is clearly the top priority. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The front desk team provided a comprehensive tour of the resort, followed by a detailed walkthrough of our suite, explaining the room’s amenities and any additional services that would incur extra charges. They also provided their WhatsApp contact number, which proved incredibly convenient throughout our stay. Any questions or requests were answered promptly, and what impressed us most was that the staff remembered our names whenever we left or returned to the resort. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly set this property apart. One of the highlights of our stay was dining at Aalti, the resort’s flagship restaurant. Aalti, which means “salt,” offers elevated Greek cuisine in a beautiful setting. During our dinner, live music created a magical atmosphere that enhanced the entire experience. The food was outstanding and showcased the quality and creativity of the culinary team. We also participated in a wine tasting held in the resort’s 400-year-old cellar. Our sommelier was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights into each wine we sampled. The experience was both educational and enjoyable, making it one of the memorable moments of our trip. The resort’s amenities are equally impressive. The grounds are beautifully maintained, including two swimming pools and a hot tub. The fitness center offers all the essential equipment needed for a workout and also includes a sauna and steam room for recovery and relaxation. The spa is elegant and welcoming, and the estheticians were both professional and accommodating. Guests also have access to Vedema’s sister property, Istoria, located along Santorini’s famous black sand beach. Transportation is provided to and from the beach, and the €60 package includes beach chairs, towels, bottled water, and a fresh fruit salad, making it a convenient and worthwhile excursion. Each morning, the à la carte breakfast was delicious and featured a variety of high-quality options. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the large bathroom featured dual sinks, dual mirrors, a bathtub, and a separate shower. Most importantly, I cannot say enough about the staff. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made our stay truly special. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Vedema is a resort that delivers luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.

We had a truly wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was absolutely perfect—warm and genuine. The service was top notch, exceptionally efficient with the WhatsApp extremely fast response. Every request was handled almost immediately and always with a smile. The food was excellent, Breakfast was particularly enjoyable. The hotel itself has a unique charm and atmosphere that makes staying there a real pleasure. Simply amazing from the moment I walked onto the property. Let me begin by saying this hotel is absolutely stunning. The pools, the breathtaking views, the beautiful villas, and the incredible staff all exceeded every expectation. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, Foteini's smile and energy immediately made me feel welcome. She helped plan our entire stay, gave us fantastic local recommendations, and made reservations for us. She treated us like old friends, making sure we experienced the very best Santorini had to offer and always ensuring we had the best tables. She was always available, incredibly thoughtful, and genuinely kind. I never felt like just another hotel guest—I felt like a VIP visiting a friend who knew everyone on the island. I can't thank her enough for making our trip so special. Once we made our way to the pool, Eri took wonderful care of us. She welcomed us as though we were guests in her own home. She was funny, intelligent, engaging, and genuinely kind. She knew exactly which drinks to recommend and never steered us wrong. Every day I looked forward to seeing her because I knew she would have another great recommendation or surprise waiting for us. She made every afternoon by the pool even more enjoyable. One experience you absolutely cannot miss is the wine tasting in the 300-year-old cave with Panos Fotiadis. It was elegant, intimate, and easily one of the highlights of our trip. Panos is an exceptional sommelier with an impressive knowledge of Greek wines. The tasting was expertly presented, and each wine was perfectly paired with delicious local cheeses. The property itself is spectacular, but it is the people who make this place truly extraordinary. Every member of the staff was warm, engaging, intelligent, and sincerely interested in making our stay unforgettable. There were so many employees who went above and beyond that it's impossible to mention them all. I can honestly say I have never experienced a friendlier or more welcoming hotel staff anywhere in the world. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don't worry about planning every detail. Simply arrive, say hello, and let this incredible team take care of the rest. They will make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
