Went there for the lunch buffet. The location of the hotel, the building, the interior was all good. Nice feeling. The lawn was great too but not everyone is a garden monitor fan. So that was a bit tough as my friend can get upset easily with animals. The lunch buffet was good. If there was more seafood, that would have been great. Grilled little lobsters and little crabs, and that's it? No prawns. Was not much impressed. Also, embrace the locals, they keep your business going. Did not stay for the tea.

My stay at Tangerine Beach Hotel was overall a pleasant experience and offered good value for the price. The property is beautifully located by the beach, with spacious grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was definitely a highlight—there was a wide variety of dishes, both local and international, and the quality was consistently excellent. Every meal felt fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff were attentive, polite, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. However, one issue worth mentioning is the humidity during the rainy season. While the room was clean and comfortable, it became noticeably damp, and the moisture in the air made it a little uncomfortable at times. This is something to be prepared for if visiting during monsoon months. That said, with its reasonable price, wonderful food, friendly service, and overall relaxing environment, Tangerine Beach Hotel remains a solid choice for travelers. With some improvements to humidity control in the rooms, it could easily be near perfect.

We’ve stayed at many hotels across Sri Lanka, and Tangerine Beach Hotel is by far the best, and the only one we will be returning to again. The staff are incredibly accomodating and helpful, the rooms are clean and fresh, and the pool is spacious. The Ayurvedic Spa leaves you feeling like a freshly kneaded pile of dough (in the best way possible). The biggest highlight by far has to be the restaurant. The options are diverse and varied each day. The food is perfectly cooked and served at ideal temperatures. The wait staff are quick to clear tables and ensure your glasses are always topped up, no matter how busy the restaurant is. For those with a sweet tooth, the pastries and desserts served alongside lunch and dinner are both visually and gastronomically appealing - truly a 10/10.

Apart from the front office concerns, the quality of the à la carte food was also below satisfactory. The dishes lacked freshness, taste, and presentation. For a hotel of this standard, we expect well-prepared meals that reflect value for money, but unfortunately the food did not meet even basic expectations. This clearly shows that both their service and product quality need serious improvement.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for couples looking for a comfortable and romantic stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary high tea and the additional free foods, which were absolutely delicious. Every bite reflected quality and care, making the experience even more enjoyable. The overall ambiance of the hotel is relaxing and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable getaway. From the food to the rooms to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. Tangerine Hotel is truly a wonderful place to stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious yet cozy experience.
