We had a fantastic stay at Shangri-La Chiang Mai. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The facilities were excellent, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious food. We would especially like to thank Chaow, who was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. He always made us feel welcome and was more than happy to help us with everything we needed, including arranging our flight to Hua Hin. His outstanding service and warm attitude made our experience even more memorable. We highly recommend Shangri-La Chiang Mai and would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Chaow, and the entire team, for an unforgettable stay!

The food is another highlight of the stay. From authentic Northern Thai specialties to traditional local dishes, every meal is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, allowing guests to experience the rich culinary heritage of Chiang Mai.

Superb service by duty manager Nine and the staff. We really enjoyed our 4 nights stay here. The food is delicious, pool slide is fun, spa is great. Absolutely a family-friendly hotel. It’s convenient and near the night bazaar too! Double thumbs up. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a good location in Chiang mai with easy access to many attractions like the night bazaar and markets. The hotel itself feels old and outdated. The rooms feel old, the bathrooms need a uplifting especially the showers as there is no rain shower. As a golden circle member I was hoping for an upgrade but was informed they were fully booked. But when I casually spoke to a member of staff he informed me it was not peak season and the hotel is not very full. I felt the member of staff I spoke with initially about the upgrade was forced to tell me this by a senior member of staff. As a Shangri La Golden Circle member I have always got an upgrade. The breakfast selection was poor. Not much variety and the various stations not being replenished in an efficient manner. The food taste was not great. Normally we look forward to breakfasts but not in this case. However the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is great with all the staff friendly. I had to extend my stay as I couldn't get a room at the Marriot, but I dont think I would be staying here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Shangri-La Chiang Mai! We actually moved here after a disappointing experience at a nearby property, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and efficient. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable. The property is gorgeous with many amenities. For a five-star hotel, the price was very reasonable—we would choose to stay here again without hesitation. The location is excellent, with many attractions within easy walking distance, and the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable each morning. The only minor drawback was the lack of access to streaming services on the TV—but that’s a small trade-off given how wonderful everything else was.
