We loved everything. The food was excellent — delicious, fresh, and offering a wide variety of choices. The Greek salad and Greek yogurt were exceptional. The bus station to Chania is just a few steps away, which is very convenient. The hotel has two sandy beaches, both absolutely amazing. The personnel were wonderful — everyone was kind and helpful. There are two outdoor pools and one indoor (heated) pool, plus an elevator in the building. The pool bar is a great touch — you can take your drinks to the beach. Beach towels and sunbeds with umbrellas are provided. You can truly feel a sense of calm and relaxation there. The only negative for us was that many people were smoking on the beach, and there were cigarette butts in the sand. This is not the hotel’s fault, but it would be nice if attention were drawn to this or if it were better communicated.

We had a wonderful stay at Kalives Beach Hotel. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious with plenty of options, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. Our room was cleaned every day, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. It’s an excellent choice for families with kids, as there are lots of activities to keep them entertained throughout the day. Overall, a fantastic experience—we would definitely recommend it!

On a family holiday with my parents and two children. Great for small kids, my boys have spent the sunny days playing in the playground on the beach. One of the days it was windy and wet they had extra crafts with my son. Iva is great with the children with the kids club and disco. Bonus her little girl was so nice and encouraging to my 2 and half year old son playing with him all day Iva also does a great yoga class in the morning. The hotel organised a lovely 8 seater taxi from the airport. Reused this company for a day trip Provided two car seats my boys Food and coffee is great. Did a lovely wine tasting night Thursday. The waiters and cleaning staff are lovely especially to our boys

The hotel is a pleasant and clean environment offering evening entertainment for kids and adults. The room was satisfactory and good value. Noise was occasionally an issue but nothing too unreasonable. Mainly noise from showers being turned on and a noisy fridge . Kalyves, itself, doesn't offer much other than a few shops and cafes. But the hotel is self sufficient and I would recommend going all inclusive. The food is varied and caters to most tastes. Although, more information would have been appreciated on arrival and there was a mix up regarding which package we were on, the staff are friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. Where there were some breakdowns in communication, Mo, the guest relations manager was excellent at making sure we were happy and that our needs were met. He brought much welcomed humour and candour to the trip. Especially since we picked a week where the weather was consistently poor. If you are lucky to pick a week with good weather, then Kalyves Beach Hotel would be a nice base to work from as it is close to Rethymno and Chanai which are lovely places to visit.

I am having an amazing stay at Kalyves Beach Hotel and honestly, I couldn’t recommend it more—easy 5 stars from me! What really makes this place special is the people. The member of staff is just *lovely* always smiling, super friendly, and genuinely happy to help. From the door opener to the waitresses, reception team, room cleaners, and even the manager —you feel looked after everywhere you go. The hotel itself is run so well. Everything is spotless all the time, and you can tell there’s great management behind the scenes. Even during busy meal times, everything flows smoothly without chaos and stress: just a really relaxed vibe. The food was another big highlight. There’s a great variety of local cuisine, which I really appreciated—when you travel, you want to experience authentic food, and they definitely deliver on that. At the same time, they’ve got plenty of familiar options too, which is perfect if you’re travelling with kids—things like pasta, chicken nuggets, and fries are always available. The facilities are fantastic too. Having a private beachfront is such a bonus: it makes the whole experience feel even more special. There’s also an indoor swimming pool, which is great for relaxing at any time of day. In the evenings, there’s always something fun going on. The night shows are really entertaining, especially the Greek dance and Oriental dance performances; they add a nice cultural touch and make the stay even more memorable. I’ve travelled quite a bit around Europe, and I have to say, it’s rare to find this level of service here. It actually reminded me more of the kind of top-notch service you get in 5-star hotels in Asia—just next level!
