We stayed 6 nights in the Rainbow tower - we were upgraded from the Tapa tower & it was amazing to wake right above the beach. The rooms have been very recently renovated & were immaculate & spacious. There was a large conference on whilst we were staying (7,000 delegates) which made line ups at peak times just too long so we used other coffee shops & restaurants outside the village instead. Check in at 11.30pm took 45mins. Prices are very high for everything particularly along the beach. Same items can often be purchased much cheaper in the shopping centres nearby. Wonderful stay, shout out to Mary-Lou who serviced our room. Thank you Hilton!

A very mixed experience with our stay. The property, while massive, is nicely segmented so it never feels too crowded in one spot. The renovate rooms in the Rainbow Tower are light and nicely furnished. Add a balcony with ocean view on top and you have yourself a nice stay. The food is average across the resort, at least the 3 spots we tried. There is room for improvement for sure. Especially the Tapa Bar is a stay away from place as it relates too food. The biggest set back came at check-out. We forgot a ring that had rolled under the sink (simple grab) which we remembered in the taxi to the airport. With a tight timeline there was no returning. Upon immediately calling security (room wasn't checked out yet so no other occupant or room cleaning had gone in) we were assured someone would take care of it right away. Long story short - nothing apparently happened. Next message we got is that the ring wasn't found, i.e someone took it in between them actually looking and promising to look. As a Hilton Honors member I stay in a lot of Hilton properties - this is a first being treated this way. Definitely not a repeat after this experience.

Bait and switch. The photos online do not match the actual A’ali rooms. We spoke to a staff member and he agreed that the rooms in this particular tower were terribly rundown. Further, lots of kids and families. Loud. Not relaxing. The pools have no umbrellas. Food on sight is expensive and poor quality. The most enjoyable meals were off property. The beach is public, busy, and has homeless wandering around. It’s $100 to rent two beach chairs and umbrellas. No one monitors people wandering onto the property and using the pools and restaurants. A few positive occurrences during the seven days is they moved us into a better room in the Rainbow Tower after complaining, the Tapas bar had the best live music every night but one, and I got the best massage from Adrienne at the spa.

Sure! Here's a glowing review for Tropics Bar and Grill at Hilton Hawaiian Village: --- ### 🌺 Review of Tropics Bar and Grill 🌺 I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tropics Bar and Grill during my stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience! Our server, Lisa, was an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a smile and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our dining experience. We decided to try the Steak and Eggs and the Loco Moco, and wow, they did not disappoint! The Steak and Eggs were cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The Loco Moco was a delightful blend of textures and tastes, making it a perfect comfort food choice. Both dishes were beautifully presented and served at just the right temperature. The service was impeccable throughout our visit. Our drinks were always full, and Lisa checked in regularly to ensure everything was perfect without being intrusive. We also enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, with its beautiful views and soothing atmosphere that truly captured the essence of Hawaii. All in all, if you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience with great food, excellent service, and minimal wait times, I highly recommend Tropics Bar and Grill. Thank you, Lisa, for making our visit amazing.

Let’s be real. HHV is expensive, expansive, and exciting. The question is if the stay is worth the price. We have stayed three times over the past three years in three different towers so I feel confident that our experience can help you as you navigate where to stay on Waikiki. Tapa Tower is located in the interior of the resort and is a vibrant location right near the Tapa bar. Diamond Tower is near the business section and is the one tower we would NEVER STAY in again. The room was loud and dated and. the ac didn’t work. Thank goodness for RYAN BUTLER at the front desk for getting us out of there and into our favorite place: Rainbow Tower. RT is in the middle of a remodel and the renovated rooms are nicely done. Great shower, bed, furnishings, lanai, etc. The downside is the elevators are abysmally slow and when you are 20 floors up, the stairs are a poor option. Tips: go to The Tropics restaurant ONLY during happy hour - it is one of the most expensive places to eat in all of Waikiki. Hau Tree bar can be festive and fun. The nearby Chart House also has a great happy hour and the Alo Moana mall has a large food court. Try to stay on a Friday night so you can see the weekly fireworks.
