Busy tourist hotel. The rooms are nice, those facing the harbour have wonderful views. Great location. The breakfast is fairly basic. The internet is painfully slow- even internet browsing is limited at peak times, presumably diente low bandwidth. There is no paid fast internet or wired option which will limit those needing it for more data intense professional purposes. The website is wrong - the business centre does not have a wired option and it isn’t open 24h. The front desk staff are somewhat brusque. Bit of a no Fs given attitude. The bottled water thing seems to be a government mandate, but I agree with the other reviews it’s BS they don’t have any water fountains or purifiers. The same number of plastic bottles are therefore wasted, the only difference being you have to schlep them yourself from the 7-11. Edit 1: cockroaches seen at the buffet. Edit 2: the copy paste responses to complaints speaks volumes.

Lovely view on the 31st floor, service super friendly, and cleaners do a very good job, everything is very clean. Black out curtains was a plus. Charles on reception was very helpful and friendly. Pool was unfortunate closed, but you can still go outside and enjoy a good view from the terrace, gym was nice and it also has a sauna. It is a bit busy, but understandable for the size of the hotel.

I arrived pretty late last night, the front office was really helpful & nice. My room category has no king size anymore, as compensation, they provide me a sea view room with twin beds. Hotel Location is fantastic, view is amazing. Room is clean and have everything is needed. Breakfast was a little disappointing, the food is oily, even walking in the the restaurant can smell the oil, and some of dim sum is cold. The coffee machine only offers espresso & coffee, so I asked for a cappuccino, the 1st service even does not know what that is. She passed me to another staff.

We booked a suite and stayed for 4 nights with my hubby and baby. The stay included a private entrance for the breakfast, tea and happy hour. I dont think I went to the tea or happy hour once. The breakfast was excellent in the private club, tho not in the ground floor. That one was a zoo, so highly recommended to add private club access or go for no breakfast at all. room was clean, hotel was lovely. view was amazing. the closet would be better if it had shelves. Overall very happy with our stay. My husband thought the gym was lovely, it had a sauna.

Fantastic grand hotel. Convenient location. Facing the sea. Awesome view. Surrounded within Whampoa community. Many eateries and small shops. Walking distant to whampoa MTR. The room is very spacious and clean. Comfy bed and water pressure is strong and hot water so good. The restaurant serving wonderful meals too. Especially, the buffet dinner. Worth every dollar. Will come back again.
