I went to the restaurant here for my birthday dinner although I didn’t stay. They went above expectations to make this an experience for me. The theme was tropical, I got a table on the beach, they were willing to put it in the sand under a coconut tree for me. I got balloons! They took care of the cake I had delivered from Kocina Karina (instagram) and ensured it was in perfect shape. The food was delicious and beautifully served. Our waitress Amoya really took care of us. She stayed with us the whole night and made this experience. The manager and Mr. Livingston also made sure everything was perfect down to the decor and experience. The service made us decide to stay here if we go back. The only issue was it was so dark we could not see our food, so the pictures had to be brightened but it was stunning in real. Highly recommend. Note: you have to tip cash, they don’t have a tip screen if you pay by card.

We (family of 4) have just returned from a 10 night stay at Coco Reef. Firstly the location is perfect and the view from the private beach day and night is stunning. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice, we never got bored, and the few times we had dinner was also good. The staff around the hotel are excellent, friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would say (like everybody else) is the hotel really does need some investment as it’s now looking very tired and dated both externally and internally. In its day you can absolutely see why royalty and world renowned celebrities stayed here, but those days are a distant memory. Reinvesting is badly needed.

The location of Coco Reef is spectacular. The beach is undeniably beautiful. However, every other aspect of this hotel is awful. The rooms are horribly outdated. The light was flickering in my bathroom and eventually gave out. The mattress was hard and caused me back pain. The TV was tiny and had lines running through the screen. The food was less than okay. I walked five minutes outside and found much better food for cheaper. The service was hit or miss mostly miss. I’d have to walk to the front desk to ask for towels to go to the beach. They’d expect you to walk the towels back up. You were lucky to find someone even attending the front desk. Also, the towels were low quality. My last complaint was the massage I received. It didn’t seem as if it was an experienced therapist. I wasn’t asked about any of my ailments and the therapist concluded by rubbing oil all over my face. I can’t believe I spent what I did to stay at this hotel.

My husband and I booked this mini vacay through Expedia, when we got there we had to wait 2hours to get our room. Service at the Tamara's for dinner was really slow and waiters/waitresses were mixing up patrons' orders. The service att he Bar and grill was the same.... long. We did have a wonderful despite these hiccups....the Private beach, the room was nice and comfy and the gardens were pretty.

The rooms were a bit run down but clean. There were ongoing renovations on the outside the day we visited. My friend and I didn't get any beach towels and they told us they would bring for us on the beach in 20 minutes but we waited for 2 hours and got none. We used the extra towels from the room. However, this place is massive and the private beach would always be one of my favourite things there. Breakfast was not bad but we went early 7:05am as we had to be in the airport for 8:30am and many items were not available. I also asked for a hot cocoa and had to wait very long before I got someone else's attention to bring one. So if you are working with a time then I wouldn't advise it as I was impatient with the initial lack of attention from the Breakfast staff.
