We had a wonderful stay at this resort. If you love spacious resorts with beautiful tropical gardens and enjoy walking or exercising, this place is perfect. The grounds are huge, peaceful, and very well maintained. It's an excellent choice for families, especially those with young children. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. We travelled as a family and were given two connecting rooms, which made our stay much more comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of food, with plenty of choices for everyone. One of the best things about the location is that there's a 7-Eleven, local shops, and several restaurants just behind the resort, only a short walk away. If you'd like to explore other beaches, you can easily catch a shared taxi (songthaew) for around 50 THB per person each way. After 11:00 pm, the fare may increase to around 100 THB per person, or you can hire the whole taxi. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this resort to families or anyone looking for a relaxing tropical getaway with plenty of space and great facilities. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had such a wonderful stay at Centara Koh Chang. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature — it truly feels like staying in the middle of a tropical forest. The atmosphere is so fresh, relaxing, and calming. All of the staff were very warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and honestly, there’s no need to go outside because the resort has everything you need. It was a perfect place to relax and recharge. I would definitely love to come back again!

I recently stayed at Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort in Room 207 from 1–2 March 2026, and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. They made me feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of at all times. The resort itself is beautiful and perfectly suited for relaxation. The peaceful atmosphere, natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities create an ideal getaway for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. Overall, I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Koh Chang. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature while receiving excellent service. I would gladly return again in the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're on Koh Chang and looking for breakfast, this place is an absolute hidden gem. For just 150 THB net per person, including beverages (yes, NET!), you get access to both a breakfast buffet and an à la carte menu that you can order from as much as you like. I honestly had to ask twice because it sounded too good to be true. The selection is surprisingly generous. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, Thai dishes, cereals, coffee, juices, and more. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and constantly replenished. What really impressed me was the service. Instead of making guests queue for everything, the staff kept coming to the table with a smile, asking if we would like to order anything else. The hospitality was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. The restaurant itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. It's the perfect place to enjoy a slow breakfast before starting your day. At this price, I honestly don't know how they make it work... but I'm definitely not complaining. I will eat everything in the world. You don't understand. I will eat twice. 😂 Highly recommended. One of the best breakfast values I've found on Koh Chang.

I saw some reviews before booking about the lack of maintenance, aging facilities and overall experience not matching expectations from a Centara hotel. However, I decided to give it a try nonetheless based on the overall positive rating. Unfortunately, the recent reviews proved true. I booked one of the more expensive bungalows. Immediately upon entering the room it smelled musty and the old air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy with room noise levels around 45 decibels and hardly cooling. You also can’t adjust the temperature because it might break the unit (see photo). As a light sleeper, I was already alarmed at this and just being in the room during daytime was already unbearable. One of the features of the room is the outside bathtub, which hadn’t been cleaned and some broken tiles made it seem not safe to use anyway. Further inspection of the facilities were even more disappointing with no vibe at the swimming pool, staff cleaning the ice cream fridge at the pool bar because I guess low season, trash and tree branches at the front lawn next to the beach etc. The property is also located far from everything and you need to walk far to reach restaurants and shops. I couldn’t find any positive reason to stay and decided to leave. Even though I lost quite a bit of money due to no refund policy, it was the right decision to do early check-out.
