My experience at this hotel raises serious concerns regarding minimum operating and safety standards. The building is in an advanced state of deterioration. There are areas where plaster is coming off, the finishes are visibly damaged, and the overall impression is that of a property that has not been properly maintained for years. The level of wear and neglect goes far beyond the idea of a “modest hotel” and enters the realm of failing to provide basic, decent accommodation conditions. In the room, the furniture was old and damaged, and cleanliness was severely lacking. The presence of cockroaches and ants is not merely unpleasant — it is unacceptable. The bathroom countertop was swollen from moisture and showed clear signs of mold. The doors appeared improvised and patched with panel pieces, which raises further concerns about safety and proper maintenance. Another problematic aspect is the pricing policy. Absolutely basic amenities are charged extra — including the TV remote control and the use of the safe. Practically every service is monetized separately, without the overall standard of the hotel justifying these additional costs. During the night, the room temperature was very low, making it impossible to rest properly. Ensuring a minimum level of thermal comfort should be a standard, not a luxury. Breakfast was below acceptable standards: limited options, poor organization, overcrowding, and a generally questionable level of hygiene. The dining area reflected the same lack of concern for quality. This is not about unrealistic expectations or excessive demands. It is about minimum standards of hygiene, safety, and decency. I believe this property should be seriously evaluated by the relevant authorities and by the platforms that promote it. I strongly advise caution to anyone considering a reservation here.

Blue Sea is an uncomplicated hotel with huge apartments all with large veranda . Although a little old fashioned , the rooms are serviced spotlessly regularly with no shortage of fresh towels. The pools are so nice. We chose the large one as we like a good swim. The bar served all day. San Miguel is the house beer & wine is like a mild pino. The breakfasts are perfectly adequate with all the expected options. I recommend the lovely freshly cooked omelette. lunch was very good each Day with a wide choice. Dinner was similar but seemed less choice. The staff are very friendly and quietly clear tables with a smile. There are a couple of nice places to eat nearby. Masala was very good. I didn't like el delphin as its a bit clostophobic. We mostly enjoyed the atmosphere of the malibu with live music. Nice stroll to Laura's cafe is recommend for an excellent coffee under some gently tree shade .

Stayed here for a week with my family, let's get the negatives out the way. This is not a 5 ⭐️ place so don't expect it to be, the whole complex could do with some minor maintenance here n there n a lick of paint and the apartments didn't have Aircon. However what you do get is a buffet restaurant good choices we never went hungry or had a bad meal, 3 terrific swimming pools good drinks selection on AI and very friendly helpful staff. Yes the apartment lacked AC but we didn't need it and yes it was a bit basic but it was clean and spacious. If you can tolerate the minor negatives you won't go far wrong.

Me and my partner along with our 10 year old daughter have just arrived home from our stay here. I have to say we had a wonderful time. The staff were great, we really enjoyed the food and our room was lovely and clean. We don’t have a bad word to say about this hotel. You are only a few minutes from bar’s restaurants and supermarkets. We will be returning in September, but booking directly with the hotel. Thank you for a lovely time!!

I stayed here in November 2025. The location is convenient and the ocean view is nice. Breakfast was simple but fine for the price, and the staff were friendly in daily interactions. The main issue was the hygiene conditions inside the studio. I found cockroaches from the first nights onward. Mid-stay, I discovered several dead insects inside the ceiling lamp directly above the bed, and I also found one on the bed after waking up. I continued seeing them on the walls, bathroom, and ceiling throughout the stay. I reported the situation at reception and also sent messages via Booking.com and email. I didn’t receive replies to the written messages, and every time I asked to speak with the director, I was told he was not available. Booking.com later confirmed to me in writing that they tried to contact the property during the escalation but received no response. I stayed here last year without problems, which is why I booked again, but this time the conditions and the lack of follow-up were far below what I consider acceptable. I have filed a formal complaint through the official “hoja de reclamaciones.”
