This place is lovely but not a 5* hotel. We went all inclusive. The food was good, we were never hungry and always found something tasty to eat. For AI, the drinks were good. Partner said beer was good. Gin and vodka was very good and my mum enjoyed the prosecco! My only complaint when going for drinks, is that they need more servers! Complex is very clean. Rooms are spacious and clean. The cleaners work so hard. Pools are lovely and clean. There are plenty of sunbeds...NO sunbed wars. Now, the reason I have only given a score of 3, is because before we came to the hotel and after hearing ALOT of negative feedback regarding service and AI drinks, I emailed the hotel politely, hoping to get some reassurance. Instead of receiving a reasuring reply, I received a very impolite reply - 'We would like you to seriously take into consideration contacting with TUI, in order for them to find you an alternative accommodation, one closer to your expectations, as your email has caused us great frustration and anxiety.' I received this reply from a lady in the 'back office' by the name of Rania Sgourou. I strongly suggest Rania looks closely at her attitude and consider completing a course in customer service. Other then Rania, all the other staff were lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful hotel, well kept and clean. Good location, close to the beach, restaurants and little shops. Swimming pool closes far too early (6pm). Food offering is good, dinner times can be hit or miss with the quality. All inclusive offering is really good. Would highly recommend this hotel. The water park is a great addition, well looked after and had life guards on shift the whole time it's open. Beach towels are provided and can be exchanged daily for fresh ones.

The Apolonion Asterias presents itself as a 5-star hotel, but the services unfortunately do not match that standard. The biggest disappointment is the catering. The dining room feels like a canteen, the food selection is on par with a 3-star hotel, the juices are made from powder, and the water for tea has a distinct iodine smell. The breakfast coffee is worse than the capsule machine in the room, and there is a bizarre preference for paper cups—having just two ceramic cups on a table for four people is simply unacceptable. The A la Carte restaurant offers an uninspired fixed menu of 5 main courses that you have to select well in advance. ​The entertainment and facilities also fell short. Evening programs are pure low-cost entertainment (such as karaoke or a 2-man band), and the masseuses in the wellness center seemed quite inexperienced. On top of that, there is a prominent cigarette smell coming from the AC, the Wi-Fi signal is very weak, and the natural lawns in the resort complex have been replaced with cheap-looking artificial plastic turf. The hotel also lacks its own beach—the nearest public beach is a 10-minute walk away, sunbeds are paid, and the location is far from the main part of the island. ​On a positive note, the staff deserves huge praise—everyone was incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. The accommodation in the Junior Suite was also very good, spacious, and up to a 5-star standard. However, overall feeling, the poor management and low-end catering unfortunately drag the whole experience down.

We have just arrived home from one of the best resorts we've stayed at. I went with my husband and 13 year old son.We stayed half board. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff were amazing and helpful. It was my husband's birthday whilst we were there, and we had a meal at the Italian restaurant on the resort. The meal was amazing, im gluten free and had a very nice gluten free spaghetti ragu. The staff also had a birthday cake for my husband and sang happy birthday. My husband and myself had a massage each at the spa which was also incredible. My 13 year old loved the choice of swimming pools, lazy river and of course the water slides. A big shout out to Sophia the yoga instructor! I had two brilliant outside yoga session! Fantastic! The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the lack of gluten free options during dinner, I know it's a buffet but there wasnt much for me to eat. Breakfast was great! I looked forward to eating the breakfast every morning. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely go back!

Just returned home today after a truly terrific week here with my wife and two kids (11 and 4) Rooms, very good - very tidy and spacious. Lovely bathroom and shower area. Lovely comfortable main bed. The spare bed wasn't the best - would suggest a more comfortable second option here as my wife struggled to sleep some nights. The air con was a huge blessing, and the fly net offered a brilliant alternative. I have to say, I envied those below us with a private pool 😍 we would have practically lived in them Food. I read a number of reviews talking about the poor options at buffet and the repetitive nature of each day. I thought the buffet was fine personally, some of the options were the same day to day, but they did mix it up and alternate food options day to day. A GREAT piece of advice I would give anyone going All Inclusive, is use the Delice Snack Bar for lunch - they have some really tasty options, such as the sandwiches and wraps. The restaurants are beautiful and very well kept and maintained too. We opted for the Italian for the Ala Carte menu (you get to choose one per 7 days stay). I have to say, the food was beautiful. We tried both salads for starter (both amazing), for main I had the chicken (amazing), the kids had the pizza and the spag-bog and loved it, the wife had the rissotto and also loved it. My only slight complaint, the sun was beaming in my eyes the whole time, so some way to shield this would have improved the experience. Pools, three of them - an adult infinity pool, a splash park with three slides and something for the little ones (as well as another pool) and a further area aimed at little ones with another nice pool for older ones. All three are amazing - best ones we have been to yet. The slides are really great too - oh, and a lovely lazy pool too. My only suggestion here is to create more of a current for the lazy pool, it's a bit slow. Drinks, compared to other places we have been - not the best if I'm honest, but not bad. We mostly had the mocktails, Shirley Temples were the best and quite nice, my wife had some pina coladas and commented they were nice too. Other than that, you have sodas (cola, lime, lemon, orange) which are nice, hot drinks such as coffee and hot chocolates, and also juices such as apple and orange. You can also get iced lattes etc which are refreshing. Entertainment, can't really comment on this - we were in bed early most nights. From what we saw this was okay... not as good as some other sites we have been to, but I see this hotel as more of a relaxation experience than a fun action packed holiday, so expectations must be right. We didn't check out the tennis or the cinema, so can't really comment on this. Staff, honestly - they were ALL amazing. Really nice group of people, most smiled when making eye contact and did a great job of making your stay special. Close to the hotel, there's a nice kebab place - (Antonellos) about 5 minutes walk to the beach, VERY well priced. There's a beach shop, a beach bar, a cocktails bar and a nice little beach. Other than that, strongly recommended - bus or taxi to the ferry, get over to Agostoli and go see the sea turtles (get off the ferry, go left where the boats are and look for the crowds around the fishing boats in the morning). We booked a BEAUTIFUL cruise via Tui, think it was called Azure - where we went to three amazing spots for a swim in the sea. Fed, Watered and highly entertained. Pricey, but well worth it. I cannot thank the hotel team enough for a beautiful stay - thank you 🙏🏻
