The Medhufushi Island Resort all-inclusive programme includes the following:

  • Breakfast at the main restaurant
  • Lunch served at the main restaurant
  • Afternoon tea with snacks served at the a la carte restaurant
  • Dinner served at the main restaurant
  • Bottled water and drinks served by glass, including soft drinks, cocktails, beer, house wine and selected pouring spirits (10am to 12midnight, drinks served after 12midnight will be charged at normal rate)

  • The speedboat transfer is operated by a third-party provider and will be combined with other guests.
  • Estimated transfer duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes (may vary depending on weather and sea conditions).
  • Two speedboat departures operate daily:
    • Airport to Medhufushi: 11:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs
    • Medhufushi to Airport: 06:00 hrs and 10:00 hrs
  • International flights must land at least 1 hour before the scheduled speedboat departure.
  • Speedboat check-in closes 15 minutes before departure.
  • Maximum airport waiting time: Up to the last guest’s arrival for that day.
  • Bookings must be made at least 72 hours before arrival to guarantee the transfer.
  • No baggage weight restrictions.
  • The service provider may carry non-Medhufushi guests and may make additional stops during the journey.
  • Speedboat transfers are not recommended for young children, elderly guests, or those who experience seasickness.

They have a outdated reservation system. I reserved it using my credit card and then talked with senior manager. I was assured that my reservation is complete and I don't have to worry about anything. 3 days before arrival, during my Sri Lanka visit, I got a email, stating that I need to pay for my reservation. I said, I paid with my credit card months ago. Via WhatsApp I contacted the senior manager, I was dealing with and she told me the same thing. I said I can't pay because I am in a public place and it is not safe to provide credit card details. Repeatedly, I mentioned that you have my credit card so you can charge the full amount because I already authorized that. Also they tell you lot of things are included but when you actually try to get it it is different. Like, I took a all inclusive package, which included alcohol and they had a list of alcohol included but when I asked about my favorite drink, that was not included but ingredients are. Our cabin was dusty, full of insects roaming around. Air-conditioning is very old and doesn't work properly. They had a ceiling fan in the cabin but the fan doesn't work properly. When we asked whether they can fix the fan, I was told that ceiling fan is for decorative purpose only.

Amazing staff and service. But unfortunately food was not upto the mark. Also it is located approximately 2.5 hrs from the airport by speedboat and the ride is really bumpy. Would recommend to reach here by sea plane if there's budget. Overall wonderful staff and ambience but need to improve on their food .

My worst experience at a resort. We were given a water villa that was very far, even though we were travelling with senior citizens and children, which made it very inconvenient. To make matters worse, the resort does not provide buggy service, so getting around was difficult, especially for elderly family members. The air conditioning in the room was also not functioning properly. Additionally, there is no room service—you have to walk all the way to the restaurant just to order food, which was very inconvenient given the distance. Worse still, the water from the toilet pipes came out brown and rusty, which was very unpleasant and unacceptable for a resort of this standard. After my brother had a heated argument with the management, they finally moved us to a new room. Overall, the management at Medhufushi was very disappointing. The local agent in the Maldives, Aitken Spence (Mr. Sujeewa and Mr. Suresh), who arranged this resort for us, was also not helpful at all and did not assist us in resolving the issues. However, I would like to highlight that one of the staff members, Dinesh, was extremely helpful, kind, and understanding of our situation. His support made a difficult experience slightly better. On a positive note, the buffet food was good and offered a wide variety of dishes, which we really enjoyed.

We were there for our honeymoon in April 2026. 1 week of all inclusive fantastic food and drink from the restaurant & bar. Still managed to spend a couple of quid extra on a dolphin excursion, mojito cocktails not included in the all inclusive, the souvenir shop and the wife buying cigarettes as it is illegal to vape in the Maldives. The weather & scenery here were beautiful and the staff were some of the most helpful humans I've ever come across when been away. 10/10 and we're talking about returning for an anniversary in the future 🏝🥰

Amazing resort on Meemu Atoll with a great dive center - EQ Dive center - and an absolutely lovely lagoon with great marine life. They don't have a home reef as such, but snorkeling in the lagoon is fun as well and there is ofcourse the option of going diving and on snorkeling safaris organised by the resort. The management is great, all the staff are extremely courteous and the buffet restaurant poolside has an exqusite spread all throughout the week. The water sports felt a little overpriced for the duration that they offer, but they ensure that you have a blast nonetheless. Speedboat transfer of around 2.5hrs to and from the resort to Male, might feel tedious to some but it is manageable, subject to the weather conditions. There's always the seaplane if you can book it in advance. Overall, it's a really great, economical resort to visit in the Maldives.
