This was my first time staying at Centara Hua Hin, and I chose to celebrate my birthday here on a weekday. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived. Check-in was smooth, and I was so happy to get a room upgrade and the special HBD arrangement I requested! During my stay, I also visited the spa for a 1.5-hour massage with Khun Aeh. I felt incredibly relaxed. The service and the massage pressure were absolutely perfect. It was a time of pure happiness. Overall, this was a very happy and relaxing birthday getaway. I will definitely come back again after the renovation is finished! Thank you so much!

I saw that Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin had a “Stay 2 Pay 1” promotion, so I booked a room for a net price of 8,121 THB including breakfast. I also noticed that Agoda and Booking were offering rooms at around 6,000 THB per night including breakfast, so I saved approximately 4,000 THB over a two-night stay. The hotel itself is quite old, and the furniture is also dated. I stayed in a different building back in 2023 which was much nicer, but the building I stayed in this time — the museum wing — felt very old. That said, what truly stood out to me was the service. The swimming pool is beautiful, there are plenty of activities available, and the staff provided excellent service in every department, from housekeeping to the poolside staff. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so if you are not too concerned about the view or occasional construction noise, it is still a good place to stay. However, I do have one comment regarding breakfast service. On the second morning, my friend and I ordered soft-boiled eggs, but we were served fully hard-boiled eggs three times in a row. The eggs were very overcooked. My friend is currently wearing braces and needed soft food, so she could not eat them. In the end, I had to personally walk over to the chef and ask why they could not make soft-boiled eggs properly. I honestly did not understand, as it is such a simple menu item.

We've been here for a Valentine's dinner. It was well organised and the staff was very friendly, starting at the gate with free parking and comes to a friendly team providing service at the table. Decoration of the table was very beautiful. We felt really welcome. The menu was a 5 course dinner. Quality of the food was mixed: main course and 2nd course was great while the first course and the dessert were on a lower level. In total the feeling was very good. We had no accommodation, therefore we can't rate the rooms as well as other amenities of the hotel.
My own experience.
This hotel is over a hundred years old, so it’s understandable that some of the rooms in the building feel a bit dated. We completely understand that, and in fact, the vintage atmosphere is part of what made us fall in love with the place. There was a little dust in the bathroom, especially on the lotion bottle cap. Perhaps it’s not used very often, so the staff didn’t need to refill it, which is why it seemed slightly dusty. We stayed for two nights.The breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for relaxation. Some areas even felt like a small museum, with interesting displays of antique items. In the evening, the restaurant had live music, which was a lot of fun and created a very chill vibe. All the staff were polite and lovely, and the service was excellent. There were some areas under renovation during our stay. Once everything is completed, we would definitely come back again. Overall, we were very impressed.

The renovation of the Garden Wing is enormously successful. Elegance and comfort, and the spirit of the original decor has been retained. However, breakfast facing the car park while the Colonial Wing is being renovated is less appealing, and requires significant aesthetic improvement. And while the Garden Pool has always been our favourite, for its peace and quiet, the last two days of our stay it was overrun by exuberant teens and pre teens who ran, jumped, screamed and shouted and even chucked a football around in the pool. The Thai staff are not equipped to deal with this. And neither, seemingly, are the parents… Also on the subject of the swimming pool, how is it possible that with the high quality rénovation of the resort, consideration was not given to température contrôle of the water, especially for a pool which is in direct sunlight all day. Swimming around in hot water when the air temperature is around 35 is far from ideal!
